FWIW I'm fairly certain this was created by their 'Havant Studio' dev group (who also made LDSP Split), not Gaya Sim (responsible for LGKO, LOWW, ENCN). Naturally, I now can't find the announcement/forum posting that confirms this explicitly, but here's at least one other user that shares that belief! https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/211495-lkpr-václav-havel-airport-prague/?do=findComment&comment=1793114

I have ORBX LKPR since yesterday.

And immediately I ran out of VRAM.

With my settings (high, RTX 2070 Super) I have no problems with all airports...
But with LKPR I run out of VRAM after a few minutes, with a crash..

For LKPR I have to set Settings to medium

What screen resolution are you using?

It is definitely true that you can expend all 8GB of VRAM on the 2070 Super with certain sceneries and settings in combination.  For example, I was pushing close to 10 GB at LatinVFR's KMIA today, and there is no way my former 2070 Super could have kept up.

Question: despite being hard on VRAM and frames, is LKPR actually good?

Sounds like it's not optimised to me and needs the textures compressing.

When I read the below. It's obviously not going to be optimised.

' hard on frames' which is a code word in the community for ' badly made.'

The download size of this product is 2.01 GB. It uses 4.36 GB when installed

Version 1.1.0 is now available:

[announcement] LKPR Prague 1.1.0 update (P3D) - Orbx Release Announcements - Orbx Community and Support Forums (orbxdirect.com)

Changelog

  • Added Control Panel with various performance options including SD/HD textures and reduced dynamic lighting
  • Adjusted position of B14 space
  • Reworked B14 Jetway config. 14A is now a smaller model to allow free movement of the B14 jetways.
  • Added 777x position to VDGS config (pulls the aircraft further forward)
  • Increased capture distance on C18
  • Removed incorrect raised light models from runway entrance.

Testing has found that users with 8GB video cards and using complex 3rd party addons should use the reduced texture setting in the control panel to manage overall VRAM consumption.

Kind Regards,

Peter
