Fun fact: In the hit single Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In, which is a medley of songs from the musical Hair, done by The 5th Dimension in 1969, getting to number one in the charts and being where most people know the phrase 'the age of Aquarius, the lyrics don't actually make any sense.. They go... When the moon is in the Seventh House, And Jupiter aligns with Mars, Then peace will guide the planets, And love will steer the stars... Peace may or may not guide the planets, and love might even steer the stars, but anyone who follows astrology would know that the Moon is actually 'in the Seventh House' every day for approximately two hours, and 'Jupiter aligns with Mars' several times a year. 🤣 Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

March 15, 20224 yr Correct me if I am wrong and I don't remember where I read it but I understand the first thing the James Webb Telescope is going to do once it is fully commissioned I look for artificial light, specifically a wave length that is a marker for LED's coming from an exoplanet in the Goldilocks zone orbiting Alpha Centauri. Apparently, If there are city lights there James Webb will pick them up. Hmmm! I figure if there is then why aren't we hearing the from Alpha Centauri 4.5 years ago on our radios? But then again I also heard that was the issue with SETI. That it doesn't take long for artificial electromagnetic radiation to become so diluted in the the background to be undetectable. Well see. If the irrefutable evidence is there it will be found soon. I'm of the opinion that the earth is unique and that life exists no where else in the universe. The universe and our galaxy are so incomprehensibly vast (to the human mind) that I think it's foolish of us to think we're anything unique. Besides we'll likely never really find out. We don't have the technology to travel through space and certainly don't have anything that can defy the laws of physics.

While it is absolutely true that our feline gods and goddesses do live in harmony with lesser species, they still reign as the universe's supreme leaders. But that's okay, because they are orders of magnitude more advanced than any other species. As for mice, I'm afraid this is not the way the universe functions, mice are simply mice, nice little furry creatures that sometimes misbehave and chew our electrical cables, but nice all the same. They do not posses any advanced characteristics that elevate them to anything other than small brained mammals. As I mentioned, there was a time when the FGC (Feline Galactic Council) deemed that to reveal themselves to humankind would be too scary for us to contemplate. So, knowing that we would simply chuckle at the concept of mere mice being super beings, they propagated the ridicuous notion that mice were super galactic mega beings. Please don't spread false notions of a mousey kind. Cat Ninja's are real you know. Cats Rule!!! 😸 Edited March 15, 20224 yr by martin-w

You should ban yourself for a week!🤣 Its certainly not foolish to consider the prospect of life in the cosmos being unique to Earth. Believe isn't the world you should be using though "suspect" would be better. There is insufficient evidence to "believe" thus believing is inadvisable. And to be fair, you haven't provided a rational argument against his opinion either. The fact is we actually don't know if there is life elsewhere in the cosmos or not, so we cant be definitive either way. The only example we have is life right here on Earth. Its actually a more complex question than many think. Its dependant on many factors. The universe appears to be geometrically flat, in which case it could be infinite and if its infinite then not only will there be life out there, but there will be identical copies of you and me. Atoms can only arrange themselves in a limited number of ways, thus they have to repeat that pattern in an infinite universe. On the other hand, if the universe isn't infinite then there is a non-zero chance of life being unique to this planet. Yes, its true, that the observable universe is huge with an unfathomable number of stars and planets but some scientist ascribe to the Rare Earth Hypothesis. It argues that life requires an improbable combination of astrophysical and geological events and circumstances, thus could be rare in the cosmos or even unique to just Earth. Given that we know that life appeared on the Earth pretty much as soon as it could, but complex life took many billions of years longer, I would suspect that primitive life in the universe is common but that complex life is rare. And in terms of technological life, then even more complexity enters the equation. We then have to consider the Fermi Paradox and why, given that its possible at the velocities we are capable of now, to colonize the entire galaxy in two million years, we see zero evidence of that colonization. Do advanced technological species become extinct through war or environmental issues? Are there other great filters we are yet to discover that wipe out a species before it develops the capability to colonize the galaxy or further. So many unanswered questions and so many questions we don't know to ask. Maybe we ARE being visited by aliens, maybe time travellers or interdimensional travellers, maybe its all nonsense. Maybe life here is unique, maybe its ubiquitous. Ony cats trully know. Edited March 15, 20224 yr by martin-w

Rather I should say, as to not trigger sensitive people....
