March 27, 20224 yr Yep, and the IRS says 21 days to process and deliver refunds, unlike last year. Last year my refund took 6 months to process. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

I just checked my IRS account online and my modest refund is to be mailed on or about 4/1, if that is not some April's Fool joke (LOL). So the IRS target of 21 days is off by almost double, 40 days. And 40 days is estimated as date sent to me, not delivered. Mine will be by US mail, not direct deposit. I manage my finances and strive to get small refunds. Don't need the IRS babysitting my funds. March 27, 20224 yr Author We filed with Turbo Tax online last year. Refund for Fed and State took under a week for both. Direct deposit. But new channels are saying IRS is way behind this year. I'm not sure why but something is different this year. March 27, 20224 yr Your tax refund is nothing more than the money you lent the government interest free this year being paid back. But it is a good way to save money during the year. The interest isn't much less than the interest on a passbook savings account. My federal tax liability is less than 1,000 dollars every year so I claim 7 deductions so nothing is held out for taxes. I pay it out in one lump sum on April 1st (April Fools Day) every year. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
