DC designs Concorde Pilot Avatar

Featured Replies

Hi,

I purchased the DC designs Concorde. I cannot get rid of the Captain/Pilot Avatar. When I am in the captains seat I am looking through the captains sunglasses and microphone. If I look down at the centre console the captains shoulder is in the way.

How can I remove the avatars please?

This is really annoying, any help appreciated.

Many thanks

Ian

Thanks for this, but it makes no difference. All is well until I power up the systems, that's when the pilots appear even when the captain weight is zero.

Thanks for trying

I just set a new key binding (to my #5 Num Key) for the pilot view.  This got rid of the virtual pilot.

Yeah, this annoys us too. We have to use a "node" to place the cool animated Asobo crews, and a special line in the camera.cfg files to tell MSFS when to hide them. But, when the user creates a custom camera view, there is no line, and so the crew get stuck back in view and won't leave.

I think I might add a control for this to make them disappear on command via a switch or something, so users have more control over them. They should still vanish at zero weight though, so it's odd that you're still seeing them - that process works for other users and also myself.

It has to be done in the actual sim toolbar menu to take effect.

Changing the weight in the preflight aircraft  menu doesn't disable the avatar.

Thanks,

Am confused, what's the sim toolbar menu as apposed to the weight pre-flight menu???

I tried changing the pre-flight weights of the pilots to zero in the drop down menu, wont allow. What other menu is there?

I can change the avatar clothing, but not disable. All other aircraft work fine with my pre-set cockpit views. The avatars only show up in other aircraft when viewing the cockpit from outside

I have around 1500hrs on MSFS 2020, I am really loving Concorde. If I could solve this it would be great.

Thanks

I'm not sure why it's not working for you - But it's just the case of changing these two values circled in red to 0 and pressing enter in the text fields and the pilot and co-pilot disappear:

I tried this again and again, finally figured out why it was not working. I inputted zero and when I pressed "enter" the figure returned to 100kg each time, over and over again.

Figured it out, probably my fault. I got it working by entering 000. That worked.

Many thanks for all of your suggestions

Ian

You can hardly consider it to be your fault if the simulator wants "0" to be input as "000".

Shame on you, it was easy to understand! 🤪

I'm kidding: I was just like you. Thanks for the tip : 000, it works perfectly.

Glad it worked!

No idea why the preflight aircraft menu weight inputs were being ignored for me, maybe it also needed the triple zero value.

As far as the drop down menu single zero input works for me.

Strange huh?

It works, but once you change to a new flight, the copilot is again present.

Is that any config file where it can be  set  off permanently   ?
