I have the same processor and same graphics card and I get about 9 FPS out of Seattle with slider at about 2/3 the way up. Even flying out of Boston stutters badly with low FPS.I am completely at a loss. I spent about $6000.Brian

Brian, set the fps slider to UNLIMITED and It's very important add 4 Cores TWEAK in the fsx.cfgTry it please.

A somewhat selective screenshot there Tomas looking up into a near-cloudless sky! I've seen over 120 FPS in similar views with just one core operating, one gen of video card below yours and sliders even harder to the right. I've also seen 6 FPS in FS9 on my current rig (today actually, at LFPG in the morning, max sliders and 165 IA aircraft in the immediate area). FPS can range immensely depending on how you take that "shot", and people need to appreciate this.Gary

This is an interesting observation.. I notice a big difference between the dense and normal setting of the scenery complexity slider. Seems much more sensitive that FS9... or is this just the straw that broke the camel's back?

I'd be worried if you weren't getting good fps with that PC ;)

Does FSX now support SLI configs? And where can I get my hand on the quad core config file modifications?ThxVAA_008

>Does FSX now support SLI configs?>And where can I get my hand on the quad core config file>modifications?>>Thx>>VAA_008Im disabled SLI mode because it sucks, much people are wrong thinking about expecting SLI awesome results... It's only for multiscreen modes, didn't like it (I have two XFX 8800 GTX)Im flying with one right now, getting maximum fps in FS2004 and FSX. You can find the {JOBSCHEDULER} Tweak line at Phil Taylor blog.

First off, every single screenshot I see of FSX with high FPS are external shots of the A/C. Who flies like that? Show me a shot on those same setups of a VC shot coming in to land at an airport around a major city. Your 60 FPS will be 10-15...Just calling it like it is.I tried the Tokyo Helicopter mission last night on my rig and couldn't better 10-12 FPS... What do you guys get on that mission inside the VC looking at the city? Care to show a screenie?Thanks,-PaulAnd to the last poster you have it completely backwards, SLI configs are only for SINGLE monitor setups, not multi. SLI limits you to a single display but you are right thanks to Nvidia drivers they are garbage anyway and a single 8800 GTX does better than dual 7950 GTX anyway so it isn't really necessary.Primary RigLiquid CooledIntel C2D E6600 @3.2 gigsAsus P5N32SLI-Plus2 gigs Corsair XMS PC6400 4 4 4 12 @810Dual OC'd XFX 8800GTX @ 2 gigs24 inch Widescreen LCD 16XAA/16XAFDual 19 inch LCD'sRaid-0+1PCPower and Cooling 1k Quad SLIhttp://home.comcast.net/~psolk/3monitorsa.htmlBackup RigAMD 4000 San Diego @ 2.72 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2XFX 7900 GTX Raid-0psolk.jpg

Muchas gracias Tomas

Your 60 FPS will be 10-15...Just calling it like it is.Well I wouldn't say everyone will be getting 10-15, I can even get 50 at less busy airports!! I agree there is a problem, too many people with high end systems are reporting low perf while others are fine. The most though with poor perf, although not all, seems to be Nvidia cards, especially the 8800's which should actually be faster than my ATI, Here's a couple of VC shots One on approach to KLAX, and the other sitting on Runway 28L KSFO. BTW I get no Blurries, or stutters either!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172284.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172283.jpg
