How do you get the AI to taxi and move without stutters? Even after a fresh install of windows mine still stutter as they move

Don't know, I did not make the video.

It may be caused by using AI aircraft that are not compatible with your Simulator. Even if PSXseeconTraffic does not show any errors there still can be problems with your AI aircraft. For P3D users I recommend adding the following key to the [MAIN] section of the file

C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.cfg: ContentErrorReporting=1

Start P3D, wait till it has completed the start-up, then exit P3D. The file with content errors will be written to your Documents\Prepar3D v5 Files folder. Fix each error related

And start PSXseeconTraffic with the Start_PSXT(64).bat file.

I’ve been using AIG models mostly and so far I’ve yet to run into any issues. PSXseeconTraffic has definitely taken my flightsim experience to the next level. This holds especially true in the Metro areas where airspace is complex and there’s a lot of different flow of traffic. I enjoy flying in the NYC area since I’m very familiar with the airspace and it’s fun being in an airplane in that environment.

I think this is still a flaw of the whole process. For my personal taste, the ai a/c moves at landing and partially at taxiing is not yet smooth enough.

I abandoned it long ago for this reason, in addition to aircraft skidding down the runway and smashing into buildings, or disappearing altogether.

But that’s just me.

Hi All,

For the most part the AI works pretty well - I would say its about 7/10. I love the fact that its live, and for the most part they follow correct taxi ways and don't too often smash into buildings, but they do stutter a little. Some more than others is whats weird. Watching them taxing around I don't really see any common theme between those that stutter and those that move more smoothly....it seems pretty random. Even the same models sometimes stutter and sometimes don't so I presume its something to do with the feed or the way they're injected.

@kiekThanks for the tips (and for a great program). I do run the .BAT file and am just using a full install of AIG but not sure the models are the issue. Any recommendations for MSFS (which is what I'm using). I do appreciate the regular updates and the work you've done on this - it really is outstanding.

Maybe you should give it a try again. A lot has changed. RealTraffic gives position updates every 2 seconds  instead of 10 seconds and the latitude/longitude coordinates have 5 decimals instead of 4.

Indeed, some prefer the excitement of being in or seeing really live traffic and others prefer traffic to run smooth like on rails.

But I am still investigating how to get both.

Don't forget that PSXT is more then moving traffic. It also gives you very realistic aircraft parked at the stands. Something no other program provides.

Arrival into Newark, Live ATC, real live traffic, PHLBO3 arrival, holding due to saturation at Newark and then vectors for the approach.

I had a look at the program that streams the LiveATC based on Comm frequency but it doesn't appear as if it works in MSFS 😞

I haven’t really explored MSFS yet, mainly because chase plane isn’t available for it yet. Having said that, I just found LAAP a few weeks ago, and it would be cool if they started supporting MSFS as well.
