Fenix cockpit too dark during the day

If you go into your UserCfg file, change the ColorGrading option to 0.  I have found the sim looks much better and it greatly reduces the eye adaptation effect and dark VC's..  I just went back to this setting and the Fenix looks much better...

Tried this , this morning. Much better... Thanks.

I still have a hard time with the Fenix in SU10 . My VC is way to dark and using the domelights nearly have zero effects.

The visor on both sides doesnt do much on my end here.

Any suggestions ? The other aircrafts like the PMDG is also on the dark side but not as much as the Fenix.

Like @Flic1 says, go to your UserCfg file.

I have the following under the section {PostProcess
        Enabled 1
        EyeAdaptation 0
        ColorGrading 0
        Sharpen 0
        Fringe 0
        LensDistortion 0
        Dirt 1
        LensFlare 1
        FilmGrain 0
        Vignette 0
        LensBlurMultiplier 1.000000
        FringeMultiplier 1.000000

My sim looks better with most of these features turned off (though I do use ReShade) and AMD FidelityFX sharpening at 50 in MSFS' own graphics settings.

Thanks , will try some options here but what if i change a setting like TLOD at FL100 ? . I usually do this from FL100 and above to TLOD200  (FFTF  P3D  automatic (magic) addon )and vice versa descending .

Thanks

Nothing like FSPS' FFTF Dynamic exists for MSFS right now.
You'll have to manually change the TLOD setting in MSFS' own graphics settings page as desired.

Hi, what is your point here ? I am so clear about knowing this very nice addon doesnt do live in MSFS for now.

My issue is about to dark cockpits in general .

Thanks

TLOD does not relate to dark cockpits either. 🤷‍♂️

Follow the changes to the UserCfg file that I posted earlier and you should no longer have brightness issues in the cockpit.

Thanks for this but is it a "stick" solution or just "on the run" solution" ? A return every time of sim start ?

Or as i was talking about - a simple TLOD change :-) Would that revert to basic?

 Thanks everybody

Thanks

It remembers your entered values in the file - you don't need to access the file before each time you want to use the sim.

I haven't tried to change them while the sim is running, though I don't think any changes take effect until you restart the sim.

Hi again , For the record i noticed that there is also a simular path structure on my installation MSFS drive under /WpSystems/packages etc.

There is also a usercfg.opt file which did not get updated as i was using the link under c:/users/local/ etc etc.

I noticed my VC got all dark again but could find out why.

Is it a symbolic link installation with MSFS ?

I don't have that folder, I'm afraid (probably because I run the Steam version of MSFS).

Make a back up of this other usercfg.opt file that you have found and test the suggested values I posted before.

I still can't get my head around the fact that this setting has zero effect for me, makes no difference at all whether I set it to 0 or 1.

I have read a small amount of other users say this also, its just weird

The 'EyeAdaptation' effect will have zero effect.  The ColorGrading value will (should).....
