Just started and got an update...anyone else?

I got it, too.

 

391 MB at first and then 5,26 GB using the installation manager.

I just saw it and was about to ask.  Asobo is always sneaking updates in here and there.  Features modified/ruined that have no mention of in the official fix list.  I'm off to see if VR has improved any.  Seeing as nothing official is going to be released until August these little tweaks as we go along might be a good thing.😉

I guess you did not check the installation directory before hitting the update button?

Installing the sim into a second place on your system now perhaps.

Its World Update 10. Another USA update.

I'm seeing the same thing. We now have a list of official fixes though.  There's always things modified that's not on this list so again once I'm done updating everything I'm off to check out VR.  I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I believe "standard content" is the mandatory update for all versions of the game.. Like the base files.

It is but that is not what should be installing this time.
As with every update, there are those whose installation is either broken or is not at the location 
pointed to by the update installer.
If they are not the same, and the user does not realise, or check, they will inevitably finish up with two installations,
usually preceded by the message "downloading standard content".

The subsequent clean installation is then followed by requests for help because all the contents of the (new) Community folder are "missing" and all the saved settings have disappeared.

Now we just had a local power failure followed by my UPS shutting down early in in the middle of the update. Whenever I'm back up it's going to be interesting... hope I'm not trashed...

Mine said Mandatory update...is that good or bad

 

Wonder why I got the 'Standard Content...Mandatory Update'????
