hi everyone,

I've got a couple of questions about the 777 and I'd really appreciate some help.

1, How do you set takeoff power? From what I've found there's no clickspot like on a pmdg product

2, How do I get the correct trim for takeoff? All I get is the CG percentage after loading

3, I've seemingly got no GPWS callouts, I'm stumped on that one.

Thanks in advance

Why do you even care? It has nothing to do with a 777 or any real aircraft. Just push the throttle and takeoff.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Wow very helpful response, it's a simulator, I'd like to simulate a take off. If the aircraft doesn't support it just say. Instead of questioning why I care. 🙂

I map a control button to activate TOGA.

Are you using this mod, https://flightsim.to/file/23875/captain-sim-b777-salty-compatibility-mod-with-eicas-mod  ? Brings a lot more to the CS777, including pause at TOD, which with some of the long T7 routes is helpful. Until recently it was being updated regularly, but has died off since the PMDG was released. Having said that, the Discord is active.

Yeah I'm using that mod, I'll take a look at their discord

I fly the CS 772 quite often. With the masterrob94 mod and salty the 777 is pretty good for 20 bucks especially with the FTSiM+ B777 Sound Pack

Just go full power on take off.

Trim, I would just leave it where it is at by default.  I usually fly about 2 hour routes so fuel is miniscule 20-30 percent.

For GPWS callouts you should get...or I should say you will need the the FTSiM+ B777 Sound Pack they have a lot more sound packs so I joined for a month got a bunch of sound packs then cancelled.  their sound packs are really good.

There is another sound pack that has GPWS callouts but the sounds in the FTSiM pack are really good.

Asking anything about CS products on here was never going to end well.

Personally, I got their 764 at Christmas for around £8 and with the various free mods available, ended up with a pretty decent a/c. Of course we all know that the cockpit isn't a real 764, but we all also know that we're not flying a real a/c - we're just sitting in front of a screen flying a load of 1s and 0s...

And you wonder why? because CS products in MSFS are not what they used be like in P3D and FSX and everyone here knows that. It's a money grabber and thats all I have to say.

Hold on for a sec mates, I do not believe Seanlister purchased the CS777 package which comes with the full  "AVsim Condescending & Unwelcoming Messages" bonus.

Did he? Why is he getting some then?..

Cheers,

Excellent. Reckon we could extend that from not just here but to everywhere?

Geez, the poor OP comes in asking a simple question and gets attitude hurled at him. We all know the product is terrible people, but its not like this bloke is responsible for coding and selling it....he's just an end user seeking some advice.

I agree.  While I am certainly no fan of the "new" Captain Sim and their products, the sim caters to people at all levels.
If you can't offer a user genuine help, it is better to just keep out of the thread if the subject matter offends you so much that negative comments and sarcasm have to be used.
Some people can't seem to show any humility.

If it was a thread started to criticise the item, by all means either pile on or defend it, but this was started by someone who simply asked for assistance.

I've been reading these forums for years and have learnt a lot from them along the way, for which I am very grateful. But as my post count shows, for me at least, better not seen or heard. The fact that I've made two posts in 24 hours means I'm gonna have lay down in a darkened room.

My advice is to stick to the 777 mod Discord for help with the CS.
