New Camair 480 Twin released $15 currently discounted to $10

Featured Replies

Looks like the Dev of the rather good freeware Ryan Navion/Super Navion on flightsim.to - B4Gunner/Hanger Studios 713 has now released their first commercial product - the Camair 530 Twin Navion.

It's priced at $15 but discounted to $10 for the first week on the Devs website with the code "Camair"

https://b4gunner.gumroad.com/l/xlfts

It's also up on Simmarket if your prefer

Abbas should also be coming to the flightsim.to store.

For $10 I'm very inclined to give it a go, but I won't be able to fly it for a while as I'm currently on holiday, so I'm very curious to hear from anyone who does try it.

Looks like an FS9 model in MSFS.. for $10/15..

I would prefer to spend a bit more and fly the C310 😉

It's quite a BIT more for the C310

I watched the YT videos of the dev and they are lagging a lot, so I assume he might have a very low spec PC.

It's hard to decide if the screesnhots of the aircraft on simmarket look as they look because of that low spec PC or because of the visual modelling itself.

I guess some of the usual YT Reviewers with a Top PC will make a video eventually, so one can check out how the airraft looks and flies.

Camair is currently $10 and I'm on record as thinking the Milviz isn't worth that much with the half-arsed default avionics, but I'm an outlier there.

I think you may be.. I just flew a great multiplayer flight where most of us were flying C310s, no issue with the avionics.. 🙂

Actually, one of the group was flying the Camair and seemed to be fine also..

That's cool but it's frankly disappointing to me to see a company that has created a reputation for fantastic custom systems (how long did they spend building the PL21 for the P3D KA 350i ?) release one of their iconic aircraft with default systems that Milviz themselves say aren't very accurate.

But this is shifting far off topic.

Just so happens I am seeing this today - Developer B4Gunner here @ Hangar Studios 713- Version 1.0.1 is out now with new textures in the cockpit and I included 2 new gauges. I took the old RPM gauges and made a new Manifold Pressure gauge in the left and kept the RPM on the right - Both have dual needles, 1 for each engine. Also did some minor mesh additions to make it look more appealing and fixed the seats with new seat textures as well as new mesh. Did some coding so it doesn't drop out on you at idle and doesn't require the old "crack the throttle" to keep it running. Version 1.0.2 is in the works with a new clickable for the rear cargo door and load capacity added for it. Also two new detailed engines 3D modeled after I received some updated info on what they actually look like. It's hard to find complete pictures of the entire engine, but I have a handle on it now. 1.0.2 should be out by the weekend.

All of their P3D stuff except the king air was basically analogue gauges.  The C310 in this sim is also analogue.  The engine monitor is custom, along with all the analogue gauges.  It has options for both GTNs (TDS and PMS).  It is also the most in depth GA plane that has been released for the sim.  So many other great addons use default gauges too... Kodiak, RV14 etc.

What sort of gauge were you hoping for exactly?  The Autopilot is definitely period correct for this model of 310 (actually it's slightly newer but a typical aftermarket drop in AP).

The 310 is undervalued for some reason in this sim.  The flight model is very good - it's easily on par with A2A addons from previous sims.

At any rate I will also take a pass on this twin navion product.

I agree and I don't understand why I sure do enjoy it.

Really can't see the point in Devs sweating to make GPS units at the moment anyway. Working Title are updating most of the default anyway, and their stuff is the best I've seen except for proper "Study Level" or Garmin Trainer based products...

Model is a bit ropey in places and the frame rates are very choppy. Hopefully it will get patched to sort such things out, but at the moment it's hard to recommend it, even at the price.

Ya I bought it but won't be really flying it until it's improved. I like the concept though. I just like old stuff. I'd like to see the interior modeling improved it's very FSX like.
