September 9, 20223 yr Currently here: https://youtu.be/o5JuKS__CXQ I just happened to open this webcam to see this. It's live as of this post. Sloppy approach too. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N26FN Seems this registration had an event years ago whereby the pilot lost control d/t sun glare. https://planecrashmap.com/plane/ca/N26FN/ - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired

September 9, 20223 yr Moderator They seem to just fly it around the area a bit, at least this past week. Wonder if it’s privately owned and the owner just likes to take it up for a spin everyday. Don’t usually see small biz jets take off and land at the same field on a daily basis. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Or he could be in training or currency. But if it were me, I would not choose to fly into Tropical Storm Kay just for kicks and grins. That storm was a hurricane not long ago and I'd bet it was a bumpy ride out by the islands. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

From reading other source posts, there are two Lear 35 sister aircraft that are under contract with the DoD to act as simulated target aircraft during training exercises, as well as testing out various equipment under development. The same aircraft and same pilot had loss of half the elevator as a result of excessive stress on the control surfaces back in 2006. Fr. They are flying out of North Island Naval Air Station. It appears to be a military contractor. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. September 10, 20223 yr I'd bet that passenger that wanted a scotch on the rocks is a bit shook! I'd probably have poured the same had I been aboard. Read the pilot was flying figure-8's. Perhaps he was instead practicing holds or procedure turns. September 10, 20223 yr Moderator @n4gix and @JRBarrett Thanks for the info. Didn’t know they were a military contractor. Makes sense then if they are just flying sorties and returning to the same strip. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
