Sun Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have problems with the sun. When I'm outside, everything is ok.

In the cockpit the sun (see pictures) looks pretty bad.

Anyone have an idea what that could be?

thanks

I see this as well, you are not the only one. When outside I see lens flare from the sun, but when looking at the sun through a window I just see a solid sun disk with no flare.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

I had to fly a missed approach last Friday on a Hjet flight into KMRY, Monterey, Calif. due to totally  washed out scenery.  Was on short final, nearing minimums, with weather at clear and 3 miles visibility due to haze.  Could not distinguish the runway.  Never saw it.  Flew the missed approach and used the chase plane view to find the runway and land.  Totally unrealistic. Had a similar experience flying the next day to KVNY Van Nuys, Calif. but no need for go-around.  On my return to Monterey that day I switched from live weather to a selected cloud layer to avoid encountering the same issue.  Really needs to be corrected.

I always found that the sky is too bright and the land too dark in msfs.  I've tried tweaking numerous settings but have never been fully able to resolve.  HDR has exacerbated this problem too.

Totally agree, that's why I have switched to X Plane 12.
