This should have come default with the game, but I agree, this could be a big enhancement and allow scenery and mission designers to do A LOT more. I always wanted to ride a train to the airport, get out, and then walk to my plane, open the door, and take off. Also, taking a taxi around town might be fun where I actually wait on the TAXI.

Still one issue though, any animations in rough terrain have to be manually taken care of to handle the elevation changes AFIK, which is still a big issue when trying to make a fully interactive mission.
