October 31, 20223 yr That will be a nay from me! Cheers, Brian L Robinson Flight Simmer since 1983 - loving the brilliant Quality Wings 787 and all PMDG models!!
October 31, 20223 yr Alright for the money. Usual Carenado modelling and texturing (Beautiful), and some really nice paints. Good sounds. Nice atmospheric cabin. Systems about as you would expect from Carenado - light, which is probably about right for a C195 anyway. A nice flight model but I have no way of knowing if it is authentic of course, but is as I would expect for a plane of this type. Usual Carenado haters need not apply , but I am very happy with it for what I paid. No issues, missing features, or bugs for me. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
October 31, 20223 yr Author I like Carenado, especially in MSFS. Admittedly they don't always fix bugs soon enough (or at all), but that is the story of most aircraft developers in MSFS, except a few. Most of the Carenados I have fly a lot better than the planes by many others, the V35 and PA-44 fly pretty good. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram
October 31, 20223 yr As an old owner of a C-195 (albiet a 1/7th share) I had to have it - & my flying of it (my recolection of it's flying characteristics date from 40 odd years ago) seems to be quite realistic - it's got very long landing legs & is great fun to try & get a good landing out of it (as it was in R/L especially in a crosswind)- I also use it as my go to aeroplane for for S/E ILS practice - with the Canada world update I would really like a floats model for touring. All in all a good fun aerplane in my opinion Rattso Cooler Master Cosmos 700M - MSI Godlike X (Devillike!!) - AMDD Ryzen 9 9950X3D (water cooled) - 128gb Corsair Vengeance 5200 D5 - ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Liquid OC GDDR7 32GB - EVGA 2000W P/S - Creative AE-7 - intel Optane 500gb - 3x 2tb M2 SSDs - 2x 2tb Samsung EVO SSDs - 1x Hybrid 2tb HDD - Brunner CLS-63E Joystick - Honeycombe Bravo quadrant - Brunner CLS-B rudder pedals - Samsung Odessey Ark 55" - G9 49" monitor
October 31, 20223 yr I actually quite enjoy this one. Depends on what you are looking for but I have found no issues with the with my limited time flying her and will be back for more. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

Does it have the traditional Carenado taildragger bouncing on landing ?
October 31, 20223 yr Author It looks like it might be fun, but I decided to pass for now (will likely wait for a B-Fri sale). The main reason is because I tend to have trouble getting into planes with that type of cockpit view, at least for long flights. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

That's a problem with these models being picked up for Local Legends/Famous Flyer releases - they are cut down releases with features that would make them better aircraft in general getting sacrificed to hit the require price point (and the locked down nature of Marketplace release makes it unlikely people will be able to substantially modify the model to add features in)

Yes, a little, if you get the touchdown speed slightly too high, but it is up on great bring springy legs so it does absorb the impact a bit better. So, tends to spring up and down a bit more rather than bounce. Expectations on depth and quality of aircraft will always vary, and I know I am lucky and don't have to watch the pennies too much, but for about £12.50, I am happy with it; maybe others wouldn't be. For deep systems, I buy other aircraft that are developed that way (and spend a lot more money), but sometimes I just want to jump in and fly something different, simple, and easy. This fits the bill and is rather pleasant! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
