Hi @everyone! As you might have heard on the latest MSFS Dev Q&A, the GNS430W/530W (to be included by default in select aircraft), CJ4, G3000/5000, TBM, and Longitude updates you have been watching us build and preview for so many months are coming soon, in the first Aircraft and Avionics Update for MSFS. This will be the first of several Aircraft and Avionics Updates (AAUs) for MSFS over the course of 2023, so there's even more to look forward to down the road! We're incredibly excited to be improving these parts of the simulations along with our teammates and friends at Microsoft and Asobo. AAU1 will be releasing in January, with opt-in public beta flighting to begin before the end of this year. This will work just like all the other Sim Update beta test flights, and will be delivered via the normal sim update system. Instructions for opting in to the sim betas can be found on the MSFS forums. We'll let everyone know when there is a more specific beta release date that we can share. Just to get the salivary glands moving even more, enjoy a pre-release version of the Cessna Citation Longitude Model 700 Operator's Guide. You know, a little light reading while you wait for your plane to be delivered. 😉

Certainly does get the salivary glands moving, and looks to be another high fidelity free bird in MSFS! (11 pages as of now just on the G5000 alone starting on page 4-1). Table of contents with all sections totals 139 pages so far!
Section I Operating Limitations 1-00
Section II Aircraft Overview 2-00
Section III Crew Alerting System 3-00
Section IV Avionics 4-00
Section V Electrical System 5-00
Section VI Fuel System 6-00
Section VII Engines 7-00
Section VIII Auxiliary Power Unit 8-00
Section IX Pneumatics 9-00
Section X Air Conditioning 10-00
Section XI Pressurization 11-00
Section XII Hydraulics 12-00
Section XIII Ice and Rain Protection 13-00
Section XIV Landing Gear and Brakes 14-00
Section XV Flight Control System 15-00
Section XVI Lights 16-00
Section XVII Normal Procedures 17-00
Section XVIII Performance 18-00

They're updating the CJ4 too in Jan 2023... from Matt's presentation at the dev Q&A today:

  • CJ4 (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1656334363?t=00h37m50s) : overhauled flight model, avionics overhaul, etc
    • improved soundscape
    • new and improved flight model
    • avionics visual overhaul for even more accuracy
    • next gen flight plan system (RF, intercepts, complex procedures)
    • split FMCs and MFDs with per screen settings
    • improved CAS and FMC message systems
    • full TCAS-II implementation (TAs, RAs)
    • keyboard entry mode (FMC)
    • enhanced VNAV with path smoothing, vertical direct-to
    • pilot waypoints, boot screen, AHRS alignment

  • Cessna Citation Longitude (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1656334363?t=00h44m26s) : improved to premium quality, "super deep plane" per Matt
    • advanced VNAV with climb, path-smoothing, fully editable FPAs
    • autothrottle with FMS-managed speed mode
    • full TCAS-II system (TAs, RAs)
    • taking and landing performance calcs (V speeds)
    • deep systems modelling with associated synoptics:
      • bleed air: affects starts, ECS, pressurization
      • ECS: full temperature modelling, routing
      • hydraulics: temp sim, pressures, system effects, PTCU
      • fuel: pressure, temps, routing
      • pressurization: multiple controller modes, schedules, GTC control
      • electrical: multiple buses, charge rates, logic, PTCU interaction

During Q&A, I was under the impression that the TBM 930 + G3000 updates are also coming in January.

It's part of the same thing, but from what has been said a LOT more work has gone in to the Longitude systems.

They both look incredible.  I enjoy the Longitude but don't fly it atm because the G3000 is just "okay."

This will change things 🙂

Yup, see https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/626892-msfs-dev-stream-starting/?do=findComment&comment=4878728 for more details... I just figured a separate thread was useful on the two business jets they're beefing up in MSFS, especially given the pre-release of what looks to be a substantial operating guide for Longitude hinting at the systems depth and fidelity of the coming bird.

Best default avionics in any sim ever? If not they are very close. Thank you Working Title.

I'd say definitely, and by far.
