November 30, 20223 yr It seems my flights don't always get logged. I just did about an hour long flight from Cancun to Belize, and when I shutdown, a flight from yesterday showed up in my logbook, but not the current one. Also, on a totally different topic, can anyone confirm the best setting for offscreen terrain precaching? I've read ultra is good, and will help eliminate stutter when panning around. Just want to make sure I'm not hurting performance.
December 1, 20223 yr Logging has not been working for me for several months now in fact total number has gone down substantially! Ultra for me always and I have excellent panning performance. Less stutters and didn't notice any performance problem even with my dated PC. December 1, 20223 yr Yup, my log shows one flight since the beginning of August, even though I do a couple each day. I never use Dev Mode.
December 1, 20223 yr You want all your flights logged in detail forever, for free. use this app. https://www.lrmclient.org/ I have flights from almost a decade ago, logged with this app.

Been simming from MSFS98. I never use this utility. I think when I first heard of it, it was just a landing performance monitor. Wasn't interested then, and never realized how much it has evolved. Wish I had this some months back.....before one of the betas deleted my hundred plus hours in MSFS. Robin
December 2, 20223 yr I am really surprised here reading this. My issue with the MSFS profile logbook is that it is logging too much. Example engines off study time in new aircraft models. Battery on, but not flying. Not even taxiing. And no ability to edit out the zero hour entries. I maintain my logbook in Microsoft Excel base on reported end of flight results. Have done this back to even before Flight Assignment:ATP, which was released in the early 1990's. For understanding of MSFS 2020, I do not spawn on a runway ready for takeoff. Repeat, do not. I do not use MSFS developer mode. I start cold and dark, and also call for the MSFS fuel truck (Shift+F). Sometimes it arrives, sometimes not. Many of the airports I depart from are freeware addons. Despite that, as a 100% of the time routine I load in MSFS the fuel I need for a flight, based on what I am given by an external flight planner (Fltplan.com in my case). For some aircraft that is via the handlebar MSFS menu. For others, like the Hjet, my fuel and payload is entered as designed through that model's G3000's GTC (Garmin Touch Control). I get too many entries, not too few. Below you can see my point to point circuit if you review from bottom to top. Zero hour entries are time spend on the ground, often when working on and reviewing a personal livery or two I am attempting to create. Perhaps in those cases I should be reviewing the work in Developer MOde. December 2, 20223 yr My biggest issue is that landing and takeoff count is not recorded correctly. Often only one or the other is recorded. I only ever fly from cold and dark start to cold and dark shutdown. I don’t use the defective ATC and I suspect that is part of the issue. December 3, 20223 yr Author For the most part, it logs flights, but occasionally, it misses. I do sometimes turn on dev mode to see my fps, so that might be one cause.
