MSFS reinstallation - anything to consider?

I need to setup my sysetm and reinstall msfs. Do I have to consider anything or does it save my settings within my profile?

Have a look here before you reinstall:

Store version should save your profiles in the cloud, if you are using the steam version look for the path mentioned in the thread.

I just got new PC and reinstalled MSFS completely. After fresh install all my previous profile setting were sync from the cloud. So really there is nothing to worry about

If I would switch from MS Store to Steam version, I wonder if it would pull in the settings.

I don't think so. I think a new purchase would require a new login name and password. You would also lose every add-on purchased in the marketplace inside MSFS.

Depending on what's in it, you might want to save a backup copy of your Community folder (and/or the "alternate" community folder that Addon-Linker uses) somewhere.
