If you could find me some good closeup pics of the stickers near the front door (I obviously have the SkyTeam one), so I can add those it would be great.  Sometimes the thing that takes the longest to finish a paint project is finding the right closeups to get the detail you need! 🙂

Will do, Steve! I have a someone who used to fly for AeroMexico until not long ago, maybe he can provide some high-resolution pics! If not, I have some local Mexico spotters buddies who might also help.

Thanks for doing this repaint!!! 🙂

Does anyone know if there's a remote CDU option for this plane that'll allow the CDUs to be put on an iPad or other tablet?

Breakaway thrust feels realistic to me, it can slowly taxi at idle thrust settings. I'm using a dedicated steering axis in P3D and it also felt realistic.

The LEAP engines spool time seem to be an improvement over the CFM56 on the NGs, but I don't know if they are modelled realistically or if they are overpowered. In general, it feels like very good. The only issue I'm battling at the moment is some lagginess in the PFD and the flight director. I have already reported it to the developer.

So just to be clear - the plane keeps rolling fine at idle thrust for long without the need to keep thrust above idle or to apply thrust again and again? What about tight turns? Their NG AFAIK still relies on the unrealistic P3D default friction and engine models, like taxiing through deep mud and engine spooling being off.

It keeps rolling on idle thrust. I've tried medium-heavy loads, not full loads yet. In a flight a few mins ago, my ldw was 127 tons (lbs) and I had to be careful not to ride the brakes all the way into the ramp. Tight turns require a bit thrust but doesn't feel unrealistic though. My takeoff weight today was 132 tons and breakaway thrust was less than 30-32% N1 if I recall correctly, then idle taxi all the way to the holding point at 18-20kt.

Tight rurns IRL require thrust. The nose wheel creates drag when turned more than 20-30 degrees

Sure, thanks. I think I should have been more specific: what I meant is that the thrust required by the iFly MAX doesn't feel unrealistically high, be it a turn using residual thrust or when requiring breakaway thrust if you are stopped. Hope this clarifies.

The ground steering on this thing is so, so bad. There seems to be some condition, maybe it has to do with weather, where you barely turn with the tiller at full deflection even at 8kts, and even maintaining centerline on landing with the rudder is nearly impossible.

The external app works when P3D is not running, I still don't know whether it should load fuel and payload when the sim is running. Will report back if I hear from developers.

It does. I tried this last night and to my surprise, it worked.

I've had no luck with this. It only works when P3D is not running. I tried running it as admin and still nothing. 😞

I'm glad it works for you!

I had some difficulty maintaining centerline on my last flight, rudder authority was almost non-existent until beyond 80-90kts. I have reported that to the developers. Taxiing has been good in my case, as stated in my posts above.

Hmm ... I'm not seeing that. Could this be a configuration issue?

There is a posting in the 737 MAX FAQ forum on ifly.flight1.net (here: http://ifly.flight1.net/forums/can-i-use-the-tiller_topic20609.html) that might be of help.

That said, I configure my tiller differently from the FAQ posting and it seems to work fine. I use the payware FSUIPC to send the axis I use to "FS as normal axis" and then calibrate the steering tiller in 9 of 11: Pan axes (etc). Seems to work fine for me, but YMMV.

All I've had time to do so far is set up my Chaseplane views and fly a traffic pattern then taxi in and park. The graphics are beautiful, and I think the engine spool times are very realistic. (Just a simmer here). The ground friction is the best I've seen in a sim model besides Leonardos. I use a Thrustmaster T320 for a tiller and I thought it steered excellently. Very happy with my purchase. As stated, the outside sound is a little weak, but I imagine there will be an addon enhancement soon. Now I know he said he wouldn't, but maybe with enough begging Bryan York might give us a crew or at least port the IFly NG FS2Crew over. Going to be some fun days ahead flying this fantastic model.

One more thing, it's the first aircraft in P3DV5 that the HUD is bright enough to see.
