A320 Hardware Compatible with Fenix

Featured Replies

I know that Throttletek has their thrust lever, CAT3 has a tiller, and their are multiple sticks compatible with the Fenix.  I was wondering, what other hardware is compatible with the Fenix, that doesn't require too much configuration?  MCDU, FCU, Gear, etc.  I am slowly building up my sim and didn't see that much out there.  I saw Skalarki but I don't believe any of their stuff is compatible.  Thanks!

According to your user agreement with Fenix you are not allowed to do any of this... Posting in a public forum, that you violate the user agreement is not very smart in my opinion..... just saying.

The core code of the Fenix is under license from Prosim, which want you to buy their software which includes software to interface with cockpit hardware.

That is why I am building a A320 cockpit user the FBW. This gate keeping is frustrating, but reality.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Yikes.... I didn't know that.  I have seen multiple youtube videos and posts of people using different side sticks, tillers, thrust lever, etc. and never knew that was a violation.  That was certainly not my intent.  I just didn't want to buy something that is relatively expensive and find out it doesn't work!

And just so I understand, if I wanted to build any sort of home cockpit, i'd need to buy Prosim software and then make sure the hardware is compatible with that?

Wha….?

There is nothing to prevent you from using any hardware that works, ie a tiller, joystick, throttle, rudder pedals etc.  The stuff that the (unfortunately misguided) prosim rules apply to are things like the Skalarki FCU, MCDU etc.  As far as I can tell there isn't any "autopilot" type hardware that works with Fenix because of the prosim rules.  I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

You mean like I wasn't allowed to use P3D for entertainment purposes...?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Well, he was talking about MCDU and FCU, wasn't he?

I'm pretty sure that Aamir has stated that any input device which uses standard MSFS bindings, simvars, or whatever, is ok. What isn't allowed or supported is any device which requires a hacked interface to display data from the sim.
