Looking for suggestions for a new stand alone throttle unit, preferably one that's not ergonomically tied to the left hand so it can be used on the right side for airbus flying with a left hand stick.  I currently use a Bravo but it's starting to have problems and Honeycomb is refusing to provide warranty service.  I'm not opening it up while it's technically in the 2 year warranty period, so I'm done with them and looking for something new and hopefully sturdier.  The current one has only seen moderate use as well as sims are not my primary gaming.

Edit:  I'm still after suggestions "just in case", but Honeycomb seems to actually be doing the right thing now.

Ok, back to looking for suggestions here.  Honeycomb now has my old throttle and has been ignoring me and has yet to send the replacement that they "ordered".  Now I'm out $300 and have no throttle and need something.  NOT doing honeycomb again.

Too bad you're in a hurry since these Fulcrum throttles might be great for you. No autopilot function and probably a bit more costly than Honeycomb but they'll probably last a lifetime.

I plan to get that Fulcrum throttle. I have the Fulcrum yoke and it is excellent IMO. And Fulcrum customer support is very good as well from what I have read.

Yeah I mean I'd love to not be in a hurry but Honeycomb seems to have completely screwed me.  They actually have my old throttle now that had a non-working lever switch on one of the axis and have yet to send the replacement and have been ignoring all attempts at communication again.  So I have no throttle at all right now. They had said replacements are shipped out in 1-2 days and it's been almost 2 weeks!!

I have the VirtualFly TQ6+.  Expensive but a well supported, top notch piece of gear, especially if you want twin engine levers for throttle, condition/props and mixture.

Thanks. Yeah I’d definitely like to have something that’s configurable like the bravo for twin jet and prop planes and the occasional 4 engine thing like the dc-6, 747, 380

I can only support that statement. My TQ6+ had a loose magnet once, so that one lever didn't work properly. VirtualFly created a 10-minute video for me personally how to fix the problem at home, and it worked perfectly. Top-notch customer support and a great piece of hardware.

I spoke to the designers of the TQ6 at Lelystad show a few years ago. I asked if they could produce a six lever quadrant with the centre four equally spaced. This would be ideal for a 747 and for me, Concorde.

They weren’t interested. But Chris at Fulcrum is making such a model and it will be a lot cheaper than the TQ6. He’s also a keen Concorde user.

I’m holding on to my Logitech quadrant until the Fulcrum is available. It shouldn’t be too long now.

Apologies for my stupid post on the 8th with regard to the Yoko+ . Don't know what I was thinking, writing about a yoke when the question was about a throttle.  I also have a VF TQ6 and its pretty good, but its still a bit expensive.

Thanks again everyone.  I'll definitely be keeping all these in mind to eventually replace my Bravo.  I finally got an RMA replacement from them after over 6 weeks of their poor CS and lack of communication so I have something to use for now and can take my time to look at the options you've all given and/or wait for some of that new stuff that's coming.

Hello Ray I went through the same razmataz with CH. I asked them about building a tiller wheel . A big NO! With  new  stuff on the market i hope they get it together  with their products[ HALL EFFECT ] better rudder, and brake springs. Yokes. throttle quadrants.  I have their  6 lever quadrant.  After some time the levers loosen up.  In general not bad for plug n play. More bang for the dollar, pound. etc. They are dependable!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Paul Deluca, a tiller wheel is pretty specialist compared to yokes, throttle quadrants and pedals. I’ll be seeing the Fulcrum owner on Saturday and he may bring his throttle quadrant with him. It’s all Hall Effect sensors like the yoke.

My CH Pedals continue to work. Had them for 10+ years. Nice kit but not in the league of Thrustmaster. But those are 400+ GBP. Ouch!
