Other than Flight SIms, I am not much of a games person, but I have always been intrigued with submarines, and especially submarine tactics. How is the playability of UBoat? Kerry W. Hello Kerry,I like you mostly use flight sims…but UBoat is a great game to play while doing something else🤓 I enjoy playing on my laptop while my Wife is watching “Housewife’s of Whatever “p🤠 lol…But I find it very enjoyable especially on these cold Winter nights when you don’t necessarily want to startup your gaming PC. This guy has a great tutorial series on it and has logged dozens of hours playing the game.Watch a few of his videos to get a good idea of gameplay. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
February 5, 20233 yr Fascinating series of pictures, Patrick...! Makes me want to revisit that U-505 Submarine exhibit in the local Museum...🙂...
February 5, 20233 yr For those of you in or near Chicago, or planning to visit, here is something you will want to see https://www.msichicago.org/press/press-releases/u-505-submarine/ As an aside, before I retired, many years ago as a radio journalist and news anchor, I interviewed a former U505 officer who was promoting a book about his experiences. I thought it would be interesting to do the interview from inside the u 505 at the MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY. The author, whose name I do not recall, told me and my audience it was the first time he had been in a 505 since his boat surfaced and was captured near the end of WWII. Sherm

Sherm Wow that’s an incredible and interesting story…I would love to know more about the book. One of my favorite time lapse videos is when they saw how badly U505 was deteriorating as she was being exhibited outside the harsh climate on the shores of Lake Michigan They decided to build her a underground exhibit space of her own. That was done before I moved to Chicago. However, in the early 1970s, a decommissioned United Airlines 727 was transported from Meigs field to MSI for display inside. The plane was stripped down to a bare minimum for a short flight from ORD to Meigs so it could land on the short runway. Then it was dissambled, and moved by truck to the museum where it was put back to together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV4tgjSPgks SHERM Sherm
