I double-checked AIRAC cycle is the same for starters and as you suggested rebuilt the dbase. When the SB import proceeds in Aivla it does not include the SID/STAR, let alone does not display it on the flight path. To make matters worse if I choose the airport runway, up displays available procedures but the ones used by SB for departure and arrivals are MISSING! I don't know what to make of it maybe Bob has some insights. At this juncture TBH I see no role for using charts/plates it just doesn't fit for how I use the sim, plus I don't know what to make of Aivlasoft. LNM provides most everything Aivlasoft adds w/ really no overhead, no need for server running, etc. Thanks all for your insights it turns out mainly because I do what I do, fly mostly scripted routes all of this information is present elsewhere, outside of charts: weather, route overview, winds, and even elevation data which is good enough for scripted use. I'll wait to see if Bob has insights (i.e., if his imports show SID/STAR on the flight path and if not will uninstall Aivlasoft) Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. March 6, 20233 yr Charts have always confused the Eff out of me. I've got the Navigraph Ultimate subscription, but I tend to use the App as a moving map. I use Sim Brief when I have to, (PMDG and Fenix), but use the MS flight planner whenever I can get away with it. I used to take my flight simming far more "seriously" in the past, but nowadays I just like to get in the air as soon as possible and watch the scenery and clouds pass by. 🙂 Eagles may soar, but alley cats don't get sucked into jet engines.
March 6, 20233 yr Well, I just cancelled my Navigraph Ultimate subscription. The charts are nice and fun and they add some realism but I just don't need them. After participating in this discussion I came to realize that I hardly use the charts. Specially since I am more into aircraft with 'glass' now. And I never flew planes without glass that would require the use of charts anyway. So I flew a week without starting up Navigraph Charts and I didn't miss it AT ALL. So for me flying without them is fine. Of course it's quite personal and subjective. I even flew without the Navigraph data for a while and noticed that the SimBrief plans didn't give my any problems in MSFS )with NavBlue data)... In the end, because I still have two months worth of data, I reinstalled the Navigraph data but I am still in doubt if I will even take a Navigraph navdata only subscription... In the past (with other sims) you HAD to have something like addon navdata but since MSFS gets updated navadate quite frequently it's not as mandatory. I think that once my sub ends I will keep the latest AIRAC installed and active and then I will see how well that goes. I don't really need to be current all the time. Afaik I can keep on using that AIRAC on SimBrief too. And then I will see if I will get into 'problems' at a certain moment or not. No need to spend money every month or year for stuff I don't really need...!
