Lukla - VNLK in Nepal-Himalaya

Featured Replies

One of the finest represented sceneries as default in MSFS is the airport Lukla(VNLK) high in the Himalaya mountains. Hereby some views with the most used plane, the DHC6 Twin Otter:

Great. Lots of up-close details about this airport that I never observed before.

What a beautiful place Johnny and you took some wonderful photos of it.

Super screenset!

I didn't know it was included, thanks for showing it.
Out of interest I went back to some payware AFS2 shots, compares pretty well:

Nice Screenies...

Wow. I've not actually checked this out in MSFS (for some reason, mountains don't do it for me), but I'll have to go there now that I've seen these! Thank you - great shots.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Really wonderful and authentic looking pictures of this airport...!! Years ago, it was a Tara Air twin Otter which would have taken me from Kathmandu to Lukla, but the flight was cancelled in the last minute due to developing (adverse) weather conditions at Lukla... (Thanks for posting...) ...

Wonderful screenies, Johnny !!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
