I’d have to make it in bulk to lessen the cost. That’s not an option when there’s only you to drink it. 😉

That happens to me usually. Last night I cooked a meat and pasta stew, with lots of tomato and other vegetables. First time I've ever cooked one. Perfect for a cool, rainy night.

Even with a small pot, I ended up with stew for 3 servings.

If you make it yourself, Ray, you can adjust the spices.

Spices? The closest I’ve got to spices are sprinkling some mixed herbs on my beef casserole.

Don't like curry. When me and a bunch of mates went for an Indian I had lamb chops. 😁

Pineapple juice seems a great ingredient.

It is a terrific ingredient. I use pineapple chunks and juice whenever I make Hawaiian sweet and sour pork.

I just made a big pot of the recipe I posted and I will have a bowl of it alone this evening.  It's a meal in itself.

After it cools off I will put a bowl of it in the refrigerator for tomorrow and then fill 6 or 7 containers full and freeze them for later whenever I get hungry for it.

I have large freezer in my garage and probably have3 months of food stored in there.

I don't know if you folks on the right side of the Atlantic commonly have freezers for storing food in your homes or not.  Many of us on this side of the Atllantic do.

It was over 30 years ago. My memory is a litter fuzzy. 😁 But I do like garlic bread. It’s the future you know! 🤣

Well, down here we usually have freezers, albeit a bit smaller (around 1-2 cu ft). Furthermore, here in Argentina people didn't bother to translate the verb to freeze for storing food. We kept the English word for saying it in Spanish.

And yes, I froze my two remaining stew portions.

When I moved to Arkansas, sadly I didn't have room on the truck for my small chest freezer chock full of all kinds of meats and frozen vegetables. Even a "small" chest freezer can hold a LOT of food! I wound up; donating the freezer and its contents to the local food bank.

Now I only have the really teeny-tiny freezer that's built into the top of the refrigerator.
