Has there been any news on getting (the excellent) we love VFR into the marketplace since their changes in testing etc? I read on the forums and discord about the issues regarding lack of communication from ms/asobo previously.

I can give you first hand news: there is no news. You need to be in the Partners Program to be on the Marketplace. My application is over 2 years old and is still pending. I even suggested to Asobo that I can make it "as cheap as possible" paywere to just get to the XBox users but it went nowhere. I'll try to reach out to them again soon. I'm just a bit busy with top secret experimental project now 😉

Daaaah!..  Don't tease us like that!

If it is from you it will be quality whatever it is.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I potentially ginormous project w/ broad appeal if done really well:  geolocation-triggered, shader-based seasonal vegetation change.  This sounds really challenging to do well but seems it could have amazing potential.  Substituting in different texture files w/ incremental change is so crude by comparison I'd love to see it done really well using another model that looks at the major factors that affect seasonal change:  elevation, slope angle and direction, latitude, etc.  Hopefully Asobo will get there and perhaps that is why they haven't done anything w/ seasonal change using the old model (Bijan's, REX).

Yes.  I think that will probably be down to Asobo though.  They said they want to do Aurora at least in a Twitch session quite a while ago.  I would like the stars to be improved as well.  They look like ugly blobs on my screen even at 4k.

The Northern and Southern lights were scheduled to be added to the sim over a year ago. Unfortunately, it moved down the priority list a long time ago. I took the liberty of adding the Aurora with the magic of editing to one of my first videos. If they can get it to look like the Aurora in this video, night flights will take on a new perspective when flying towards the poles.

IIRC they said they wanted to make the auroras dynamic not just appear the same way every time.

Seems odd the way they’re ignoring you and the marinas guy. I see in the Dev update they talk about aerials and towers, cable cars etc being under development so maybe they’re going to offer you loads of money to do it and you’ll soon be driving around in a gold rolls Royce with a leopard sitting next to you.
