My first post, be blessed you all.

Details first:  MS2020 microsoft store version bought 2months ago and updated. System being Win11 on a powerful Asus AiO machine.

Problem: Sim always starting at EGLL rwy 27 even if another route/options are selected. Very frustrating. Sofar didnt enjoy even a single flight.

If more info is required, will be glad to oblige.

How do you do ?

After you select your airport, zoom in on the map display and select a starting location.  If you select a parking space, your aircraft should start in a cold-and-dark state.  If you select a runway, your aircraft should start in a running state at the end of that runway.

Having chosen for example a flight LSZH - LOWW with an A320Neo, or LLBG - LFPG with same a/cft, after activating the flight, my aircraft find itself

in Heathrow no matter which route I have chosen. Always.

Sounds like you're using some sort of addon that starts the sim using a previous flight.

 I have installed two weeks ago LHR by inibuilds, thats true, but uninstalled it to check if it is the cause, but no, no change.

Rather than choosing a "flight", can you just select a Departure location as a test?

Something simple must be getting in your way..

Good thinking. I wonder where the TS is "choosing a flight"; He could be selecting a flight in simbrief and expecting MSFS to automatically follow suit.

Let's see if we can load this flight you want to make:

After launching MSFS, you choose the up right hand icon to load your flight:

1. Choose your aircraft
2. Select your departure airport in the scroll down list, type LSZH on the search line
3. Select your destination airport, type LOWW (same as above)
4. Select your routing (on the left side of the screen), i.e. Low altitude IFR or High Altitude IFR) your routing will appear on the right.
5. Then select your gate or parking spot at your departure airport (please note that your routing may be affected after doing this, but let's ignore that for the moment)
6. Press Fly Now and see if you are at your selected parking/gate position in Zurich once your plane is on the screen.

Regrets as well, nothing new ....

I have a feeling ( I'm new to FS ) that there is somewhere a file which stores some info ( first demo flight maybe? ) and then prevent loading of "newest" options.

This is bizarre.... What happens if you choose the default C152 and choose a Departure airport?

Do you mind to explain in a bullet point list what you are doing in the order you make your selections? We could perhaps understand where this mystery comes from and guide you, this sounds like a wrong starting procedure.

Try selecting your departure and arrival airports then save this as a flight plan. Restart the sim and load this flight plan and try the flight to see if it loads you at the correct place.

 

Another option may be to remove your user config file.

It can be found at the following location. Make a backup of the file and then delete it then start up MSFS and serif you can select your location successfully.
