don't compare a real airline that is every day  active and a virtual airline where  only work for vatsim  and maybe in that virtual airline there only 20 persons active and of course they only fly sometime 

there already a low % of people who play msfs and use vatsim imagine the %  that use virtual airlines, and add airliners is easier that delete, because add is just add the files to the folder and  refresh the layout file while delete this files  can takes hours cause find individual codes are harder.

You know whut? People keep insisting on messing around in the innards of these programs for what often seem to be extremely finicky issues, then later scratch their heads when things start going wonky....

You are someone who deleted the default aircraft you thought you wouldn't need (which I didn't) and later had to add them back or you would have problems with FSLTL, so I wonder why my wish to get rid of these useless (to me) liveries are bothering you so much. And by the way, I love FSLTL just like you do, your posts here are making it sound different. To each their own.

That's not even remotely the same, real vs. fictional virtual airlines...

OP getting flak for wanting to have real airlines at the terminal without fictional virtual airlines mixed in between. Loading times aside, that's perfectly understandable because including a bunch of virtual airline liveries no one outside of that VA wants in a general package used by thousands of others for real traffic just doesn't make any sense.

I personally don't bat at eye, because (speaking as a non-nobody) I don't have such an encyclopedic knowledge of all the worlds liveries that spotting an errant on can set me off.

Now, of course OP can do whatever they want, as far as tracking down the unwanted interlopers.

I'm just uncertain why its FSLTL's job to rejigger anything for what's probably a pretty minute user segment upset by something like this.

Yes; It'd be nice if they decided to, but also completely understandable if they have bigger fish to fry.

I'm just wondering why there is this tendency in this forum to let others know that one can't understand why someone else would want to do something rather than post something more useful. I too was looking to see if there's a way to rid of the VA liveries having finally removed the fictional Asobo liveries and generic aircraft with FSLTL only to find them now adding in fictional VAs... instead people have to sort of justify their question in front of avsimmers.

OP asked a normal question as to how to remove fictional liveries and is mostly being told that he shouldn't want to remove them because others don't see it the same way. Not very helpful and typical for this place.

For sure, but AIG was probably nearing 16000 liveries, not 1500. On a HDD was very slow compared to SSD.

 Just a quick look in the FSLTL airplanes folder and found that searching for the following removed approx 80 fictional ones. I lost interest and didn't finish it but it was quick and painless.

Deleting all these will delete 181 fake liveries.I didn't include 3 fictional liveries in the list (2 BAW and 1 SHU) because they belong to fictional planes in existing airlines and people could go and delete them all by mistake.

Don't forget to use MSFS Layout generator to rebuild the layout.json after deleting them.

And you will need to delete them again and rebuild the layout.json after every FSLTL base package update.
