June 18, 20232 yr Author I open it several times today, and the last two days, too. Wait, I thought AAU2 is going to be released on 23 of June? Now I am at version 1.32.7.0 Is this the latest version? Anyway I was forwarded through a menu that wanted me to set all the graphic settings etc. it scewed everything up.

June 18, 20232 yr Not related for sure but today I experienced the very first weirdiness since I installed MFS more than 2 yrs ago... I had been playing it around lunch time, all went OK, then when I started in the afternoon to go learning the ATR 72, I was surprised with a screen prompting me to choose the type of machine I was in, then followed other screens pertaining to initialization 😕 The only thing I didn't have to set were two of my controllers. On of them though, the Saitek RCS, was lost and had to be redefined... Very weird 😞 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
June 18, 20232 yr Knock on wood, I have never lost setting when I have done an update. Sorry to hear. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

Just found it mentioned here yesterday at the end of the day, and I thought that this might somehow have been related to the quirk I experienced... I had never had anything similar, but until recently my version of MFS was Standard. I upgraded to Deluxe Premium on my birthday 🙂 in May, and have been playing it without any problems so far. I do read threads from time to time of users complaining about having lost their settings, and I ask to myself - what the heck are these guys doing with their installs / systems :-/... Poof ! The same happened to me... Didn't loose all of the settings, it was awkward : .) When starting MFS I noticed speech was being generated driving me through a kind of initial setup, with options to classify the kind of rig I have across a spectrum of choices - I was so "offensive initials not allowed" that I killed the process, and restarted, just to get into the same... .) I was just a millimeter away from uninstalling MFS, and even started uninstalling my few addons - PMDG 737, Fenix A320.. but I interrupted the process and went uninstalling XP12 instead... A kind of Voodoo ritual, you see? Then I restarted Win11 and... .) As I restarted MFS, that same initial conf screen was presented, so I decided to go through that initial setup, 4 menus if I correctly recall... At the end I noticed all of my T16000 and X52 HOTAS unit confs were there, although there was an error regarding the Saitek RCS. I had to redefine the Saitek RCS... When all was back to "normality", having set GRAPHICS settings by memory, although I'll have to check the pictures I had taken as a backup last week, just in case what happened did happen, I reinstalled PMDG, FENIX, SWS... One strange issue I had started to experience, but associated with the install of FSIPanel was that quite often and since last week whenever I started a flight session from an airport in MFS, with FSIPanel not loaded, the aircraft started from a flight position??? It then dropped and crashed .... Strange... Just in case I ended up erasing all of my XP12 stuff from the external backups - Voodoo again... Ah! Just as I uninstalled XP12 I was also a millimeter away from completely wiping MFS and all of the backed up stuff and buy a monthly licens of P3D v5 to taste the latest release, have ActiveSky back giving me realistic weather with Cirrus and or Autostratus clouds like IRL instead of the gimmick used in both MFS and XP12 default weather to represent higher level clouds that end up looking like everything less higher level clouds.... Hmmmm, maybe it's really time to implement the intentions of the above paragraph! Voodo again!!!
