The New Flightsim.to

Recommended Posts

The "feature" I dislike most are the non-synchronously running columns. The former grid structure was very clear and quick to grasp.

Kind regards, Michael

Don't visit often enough anymore to care...as long as I can grab an addon quickly and GTFO.

Eh, not a big user of the page outside of a quick visit to download an addon or an update. The overall functionality and placement of things seem pretty much the same, wrapped in a different skin, so it's whatever to me.

Indeed.

Randomly sized thumbnails for no apparent reason just make it look chaotic and it's hard for your eyes to skim though quickly and take everything in.  That was a horrible design choice.

We'll, agree this a not needed "improvement", but at least in my case they've eliminated the flashing dot that was permanent over the groups icon.

Changes are always difficult to assimilate and the natural reaction is rejection, however, in this case I agree with the majority that the previous version was better.

In this new Flightsim.to, the coordinates that located the airport on the world map have been removed, who came up with this idea?

Says a lot I commented under the staff comment about feedback asking if we are going to go back to the old UI I don't see the comment anymore.

Edit I refreshed and it now shows not sure what happened.

I believe the designer of the 'new' layout is overdue for an eye test

Where does it show now if there are updates for our mods? Before it was on the top right and we could easily see if there were any updates, I don't see that now.

Its not about being old, Michael, its about having some common  sense. I don't remember having seen such a poorly designed site for years. Actually I don't remember any at all that bad. It even cannot properly  cope with the Windows zoom tool ! The only charitable explanation is that it was designed by a summer intern 😄 .

As I use it mostly for sceneries, I  will go directly to  Microsoft Flight Simulator | Scenery Map » Flightsim.to skipping the home page.
