July 11, 20232 yr Should read the FSElite article what they mention is questionable. The new site “[aims] to provide flight simulation enthusiasts with a revitalized platform that sets a new standard for convenience, functionality, and enjoyment.” The new site has been built from the ground up, having incorporated user feedback from the community. “By leveraging the latest technologies and implementing robust backend infrastructure, we have significantly enhanced the overall speed and responsiveness of Flightsim.to,” their news post on the matter says. They definitely have not gained user feedback. “The promise was a refreshed design that was built with user experience in mind” Definitely a mess and not user friendly. “FlightSim.to has said in their Q&A that this isn’t possible due to the changes made both in design and in the infrastructure.” Could take this many ways one being did they not make a back up and decided just to delete the old version completely. Frankly it is a mess. I get the feeling from this even though it can be many ways. They simply did not create a backup and expected the feedback to be totally fine or just can't be bothered to return it to the previous one since it they messed up regardless....
July 11, 20232 yr I miss being able to quickly see what new updates I have, now I have to scroll down half the page and even then the my Updates doesn't show exactly what needs updating....bit of a failure there. Change is always hard, there's some nice touches but certainly feels a bit rushed an weirdly implemented, never saw much wrong with the original layout s it may be a case of changing for the sake of change, not the sake of good. July 11, 20232 yr oh wait I see what they've done, they've copied Asobo and released an Update without properly dealing with the issues during beta and just shoved it out to the public regardless 😄 well played flightsim.to Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

July 11, 20232 yr It's horrible. All of it. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
July 11, 20232 yr I am a dues paying premium member at FS.to but on the new site I find no indication I am logged in, no way to login, no history of downloads (many hundred), and no history of purchases (dozens). HOW does one login to the new site? Or, how do I tell if I am logged in? When I try to download - the site tells me Premium Download disabled - so I suspect I am not logged in. BUT - I just tried again and this time it says Premium Enabled??? The most important feature on the old site was the ability to quickly and easily check for updates, both free downloads and purchases. I find no way to do that , or maybe it is because the site does not recognize me. I've spent some time on the new site and am beginning to understand the architecture and page progressions and may come to like it - but what happened to my login or history? July 11, 20232 yr Author Given they obviously can't return to the good stuff, the only possibility might be to point them to the nastiest annoyances in the hope they can mend these. July 11, 20232 yr "Bottom left you should see your profile picture. Click on it and you'll find your account settings etc." Did that ... but ... it has no history for me - it does show the correct user name but nothing else. OH - just clicked on Show All for downloads and it does list all of mine - I guess there is just no message when I check for updates that would say everything is up to date lots to learn - I am a prolific user and do appreciate them trying to make things better - I guess some of us (me?) are just a little impatient.
