July 12, 20232 yr Speaking from a creator's perspective, the new design is much less functional for keeping track of my downloads, "likes", followers, etc. The list view of my uploads that allowed me to sort by a couple of metrics was very helpful in determining what I would work on next. It is no longer there at all. Additionally, the overall functionality, again, from a creator's perspective, of the individual download pages is reduced because of information no longer being displayed. Oh, about the coffee cups, these are images in the vertical format as other some other images. Because of the constrained columnar format, the images are not being resized in a graphically intuitive way. A rookie web designer no-no. I probably will not stop using them for my uploads but it certainly has hurt my enthusiasm. This new format is not innovation. To my sensibilities, more a regression in web design. Also speaking as a creator, they already managed to reduce my enthusiasm when they introduced the new terms of use a few months ago. I haven't uploaded anything new or maintained my existing sceneries and liveries since then. I am not boycotting them, I just don't feel like creating stuff for Flightsim.to anymore right now. The new web page design will certainly not help to increase my enthusiasm.

July 12, 20232 yr From reading these comments i'm in the minority. I don't see the problems and that might be a result of how i use the page. I just go on, search what i'm looking for, download and leave. I do some browsing sometimes to find some new mods, but that hasn't been hindered for me. But i mostly use it for liveries and airports which is still easy to find.
July 12, 20232 yr I tried to create a 'filter' by selecting specific categories to follow. Then when I go to 'categories you follow' to see what the newest updates are, I just get one page. That's completely useless as well. I guess I'm forced to look at each individual category. This is a disaster (and this is coming from someone who worked in IT for a large financial institution for 17 years and saw my share of awful applications).

For example, too expensive, No free upgrades to a new simulator release for a product I purchased years ago, taking too long to release, the website is not how I want it etc..etc..etc.. If you don't like the site, start your own! You can design it however you like. You don't seem to understand it is not user friendly. Has the saying goes don't fix it if its not broken.

This is why the entire MSFS community put pressure on Asobo and the MSFS team to implement a public open beta test for each Sim Update. We all remember MSFS Sim Updates before they had a public open beta test. Honestly I don't believe they did. If they did the site would never had been released in the state it was.
July 12, 20232 yr Yeah I went to it yesterday for the first time since the new look...ugh. Chaotic and weirdly frantic design. Like basically everyone else chiming in here, the previous version was working just fine. Classic example of "lets change it for change's sake" and in attempting to improve it, they make it unrecognizably bad. Sure, we'll learn how to use it, but poor design makes the user have to learn how to use the site vs. it just being clean and intuitively clear like it was. And yeah, the ads in your face feels like a "getting ready for the future" that prioritizes advertisers over user experience. An instance of a GIGANTIC SMH. Whoever designed this version shouldn't be the person to fix it. AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
