Just so we are clear, F.to does NOT scan for viruses or malware. Any creator can upload a file without scanning or even AV on their home computer and just click thru the requirement.

I stand corrected then. I thought they scanned for virus before putting addons to download.

Honestly, a good ol' plain file tree with thumbnails and a search function would suffice. I just come for the downloads; all the graphics, confusing menus and floating clickbait are a needless distraction. I loved the Avsim Library. Simple and to the point. Click, click, done.

Not true.

⚠️ No Virus Detection

Before uploading your file, please make sure that it has 0/0 detections on VirusTotal. We will reject all files that have even one virus detection - no matter if false positive or not.

Perhaps I stand corrected but I've not found any of their documentation that definitely states they scan files.

Sorry does not state they scan or by what method it is done. Again, I may wrong but this does not prove they are being proactive.

What I don't understand is how can someone make a false statement like you did just because you couldn't find the guidelines for uploading addons and even say "Just so we are clear,", as if you were certain they didn't scan the uploads. Just admit you were wrong and move on.

I'm moving on. Perhaps a support ticket is in order.

I usually find something or other to download and try out on flightsim.to every day but since the site upgrade I have found nothing I want to download.  Not sure whether it is a case of the devs not releasing or updating anything at the moment or due to the fact that whatever I am interested is now hidden where I can no longer find it.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

It seems they also "improved" their search function a lot. For example the search term "182" does not find C182 or 182RG any more.

Well done flightsim.to. You just completely ruined a site that was working perfectly fine before.

That doesn't say they scan the files. It says it's up to the uploader to scan their files.

Yeah, THAT doesn't say they scan them, because you cut the part that says they do:

How would they know if the files have even one virus detection to reject them if they didn't scan them?

I've submitted a support ticket to them requesting a definitive answer and what tools they use if any.

Their support can be a bit surly. We shall see.
