A word of thanks to AIG for their new AI Manager

Featured Replies

This afternoon I wanted to update my AIG flight plans and airlines and found myself with a new AI Manager installed which has substantially simplified the whole update process. The UI is clear, simple and easy to use. One can in the Quick install tab update all the existing airlines, models and flightplans and add new ones. You can even select which part of the world you want to update or download if you prefer that option. No doubt the team heard the users comments and worked hard to satisfy those who were reluctant to get into this huge job.

So I thought we should, once more, take our hats off to these people who are so dedicated to this hobby, offering us their time and passion. Thanks to the team, your good work is appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback 🙂 I am sure there is still room for improevement, so if anyone has some ideas/wishes just let us know - I hope this time the update will not take as long as this one xD

I'm just updating my files after installing the new version. No more prompt to manually download some arcane livery I never heard about. And yes, the UI is much more clean.

I'm sure this will buy you new friends. Plus, it will get you another donation from me.

Kind regards, Michael

What!? You guys found a fix for the simconnect crashes!? Outstanding!

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Short question. I went through the OCI, the red flightplans and livieries boxes. I am left with the red "Repair Missing Paints" box . If I press it, it works a couple of minutes (box turns dark grey), but the red box reappears after that. Shouldn't it disappear as the other boxes did?

Kind regards, Michael

could be a faulty repaint that is not be installabled... Go to Flightplans->Errors there should be a list of the missing fltsim entries (make sure to hide No Paint and no Model). Compare the list to the list after you run the "repair" and if there are still entries post the logs in our Forum.

Since I use some airlines for old livery Model Matching (like the Eurowings package had an Air Berlin A320 in it couple years ago), I can't update airlines that I need for extinct airlines.

    <ModelMatchRule CallsignPrefix="BER" TypeCode="A320" ModelName="AIGAIM_Eurowings Airbus A320-200 - Air Berlin" />

I'm a little scared now that airlines get updated without me not being able to prevent this or to not gettting notified about AIGAIM updating them 👀

@Kaiii3 are there any plans to keep old airlines or outdated liveries available too? 🙂
Air Berlin is still quite common on VATSIM in Germany and Europe 🙂

use the "old" way to select the updated flightplans from the online list and avoid clicking the "green update flightplans" button 😉
