One thing I'm unsure of, are the announcements the same for each flight or do they have some variety? I selected American voices, they sound OK. I started with auto selection and I was in Germany on a flight, and the annoucements were in German, so I siwtched to American English. Sounded OK. Cabin announcements are usually pretty similar in real life.It was 7 Euros, so I took out a home equity loan, and bought it. 😉 Edited August 9, 20232 yr by Bobsk8
August 9, 20232 yr The announcements are okay and add to the immersion if you set the volume to 10 % and only here them muffled as part of the ambience. Do not listen to them too closely, in particular the non-english voices partly are kind of ridiculous.

A Pilots life gets updates all the time, so I suspect this will happen rather quickly.
August 9, 20232 yr Well it's all AI generated, right? Sounds like they may have used an inexpensive AI voice generator to avoid a recurring cost every time you generate voices. The lower-end software is really noticeable, while ElevenLabs is doing professional voice cloning and getting ridiculous results.

Many cabin announcements on flights I have taken in the last couple of decades, had prerecorded announcements that sounded pretty similar to what this program sounds like. The developer said the updated voices will be real voice recordings, not AI generated. Edited August 9, 20232 yr by Bobsk8
August 9, 20232 yr I bought it and like the fact that its all automatically generated in different phases of flight... and indeed, reducing the volume to 10 percent is more realistic... good buy in my books! i9 13900KF @ 5.5Ghz | MoBo MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi | Corsair Vengeance Black RGB RS 64gb DDR4 3200MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Vanguard SOC 32GB | MP33 Pro 1TB M.2-2280 NVME SSD for OS | Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" 4TB SSD SATA2 | Samsung 990 PRO 2TB | Corsair RM1000X 2021 1300W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Antec Dark Fleet DF700 Flux Gaming Case | Win 11 home | Samsung 65" 4K TV | G512 Keyboard | Razer Basilisk V2 Mouse | WinCtrl URSA MINOR 32 Throttle Metal / 32 PAC Metal | WinCtrl Ursa Minor Sidestick |Velocity One Rudder | MiniCockpit FCU and EFIS | WinCtrl MCDU | Stream Deck XL | Tobii Eye Tracker | Pimax Crystal Light | Doug
August 9, 20232 yr Bought this but not tried it yet, SIM issues earlier...having SLC crashing mid flight so hopefully this gives me want I really want which is a bit of ambient chatter in the background, don't really need an app that tells me what my Ai pax think of my flying.. PRAS is on lots of planes, I’ve worked on two, it’s basically an MP3 player hooked into the PA system. My understanding of what Ovidiu was trying to accomplish with this was dynamic AI generated voices, which would explain the issues with cadence. When you consider how quickly that field is evolving, there’s a huge delta between the COTS solutions from 2021 versus today. ElevenLabs could be used, with suitable enough samples, to fool most automated voice recognition systems, for example. Even without the detailed cloning, I have a functional, decent cloned voice of Barack Obama that can read you an audiobook in Hindi.

Realistic timing to flight phases is essential imo. Iff they are doing this that is good. I dont know about ai generated voices as opposed to actual audio wave file recordings but whatever sounds best is what counts. Edited August 9, 20232 yr by icewater5

The timing in this app is excellent. from boarding announcements, to taxi to gate after landing , everything is tied perfectly to the stage of flight. Edited August 10, 20232 yr by Bobsk8
