White flashes when using FSLTL

Featured Replies

I'm currently experiencing white flashes over the screen, as can be seen in these two videos:
https://imgur.com/a/P0UPa8e

I've changed two things over the weekend:
- updated Fenix A320
- updated to latest NVIDIA drivers

However, I noticed that this only happens while FSLTL is running. When I stop the programme, the flashes go away. When running FSLTL it seems to happen much more on the ground than in the air (I'm assuming because of the proximity of FSLTL traffic).

Any idea on how I can stop this?

AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo
64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance
32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

Looks like the "DX12 Bloom" issue. Turn off Bloom setting.

Also what is your "Fidelity FX sharpening" set to ?

Is this the 'Bloom' bug?  Does it happen with bloom disabled?  I haven't had this myself but I have heard it disappears for some with bloom turned off in the sim settings.

Edit:  Posts crossed with @Drebin27 above - great minds and all that! 😁

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I've got back to DX11 and turned off Bloom (what does it do anyway?!). Will report back. B

Isn't DLSS better for performance and quality?

DX11 and TAA is much better for quality.  FX12 and DLSS gives you better performance in the main

Bloom costs fps but makes the sun look more like looking at the sun.

Bloom works fine in DX11.

Why is it every time I read a post on this forum or Discord, about weird visual effects the user is seeing , it turns out the person posting is using DX12?

I don't understand why so many people insist on running DX12, I can understand if you have bad performance and want to increase it with frame generation, but not otherwise, image quality are most important for me.

I was using DX11...I then installed the new SU and I think it must have pushed me to DX12. Are there considerable performance improvements?
