August 14, 20232 yr Hi all, sorry if this has been covered previously, but I'm wondering if anyone knows any fixes payware or freeware that removes the taxiway light poles from showing up in the taxiway? Thanks!! Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
August 14, 20232 yr As it would have to be done manually for every airport - no, there's no such global fix.
August 14, 20232 yr But it's certainly a good idea to remind MS this has to be done one day, either via Zendesk or via their forum. I am pretty sure there's a relevent thread open for voting. August 14, 20232 yr Fingers crossed, the MSFS version of the scenery gateway will eventually get through legal and regulatory review at some point. That will make it possible for the community to provide upgraded default airport scenery that eliminates those annoyingly out of place taxiway lights, etc. This worked like a charm in XPlane, so let's hope it does so in MSFS as well. August 14, 20232 yr Hopefully this, among many other airport issues, will be able to be fixed on an airport-by-airport basis in MSFS World Hub when it comes out.
August 15, 20232 yr Has this really to be done on a per-airport base? As far as I understand, all default airports have been generated via sime kind of automatic procedure, supposedly augmented by some kind of AI. Shouldn't AI, properly learned, be able to detect lightpoles in the midst of taxiways and shift them on a general base? I see no reason why this can't be the case. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

It all depends on how easy they will make it for consumers to correct these issues. Currently you need to spend quite some time to learn the basics of editing scenery before you can even start. I have edited quite a few afcads for FSX which in my mind was a much simpler system. I was also quite a bit younger then which might also have something to do with it😊 Flightsim rig: CPU: AMD 5900x | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906 Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking
August 20, 20232 yr JF's Real Taxiways is suppose to reduce them. From there page at https://www.justflight.com/product/real-taxiways-usa-class-b-c-d-and-non-towered-airports No signs obstructing taxiways or runways Drastically reduced lights on active taxiways at airports without green centrerline lighting (~90%) James

From there page at https://www.justflight.com/product/real-taxiways-usa-class-b-c-d-and-non-towered-airports JF/Black Square Real Taxiways does that, BUT it only works for default airfields (so NOT e.g. for the customized airfields of MSFS Premium Edition or World Updates). You have to go through the bgl files and remove them manually in case of conflicts. Also, it will not fix erratic parking spots. Best solution is to find a good AFCAD that fixes both. These are good to start with: https://flightsim.to/file/32783/airport-gate-mapping-and-taxi-fixes-for-aig-traffic https://flightsim.to/file/32064/airport-parking Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?
