EDDK ASOBO vs Aerosoft

Featured Replies

Anyone already made a comparison between ASOBO EDDK (in city update 4) and Aerosoft EDDK?

I read the FPS on the Aerosoft is terrible.

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

Can't help with the aerosoft version but I have bad performance with the inibuilds version. Again inibuilds... I just can't use their sceneries until I get a more capable GPU, sadly. The glass terminal is the worst. Looking in this direction lowers my fps to low twenties in the Fenix.

cheers,
NiIs U.

Aerosoft's EDDK all the way - smoother than a stripper's butt.

If rolling cache is on, delete and try again.

It's off, but thank you.

My problem is my GPU. It doesn't cut it anymore and I know it. I'm observing the market and saving for a better card.

I posted some comparison images here. As for frame rates, I haven't noticed much difference in my limited testing so far. Perhaps a slight drop to 28FPS momentarily, but otherwise 30-40FPS.

OS:     Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU:  MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB]
SSD:  Corsair Force MP510 (for OS);  2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)
HDD:  Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

The Aerosoft version is definitely dated in comparison but it's much much smoother performance wise.

I personally like the new inibuilds version better but it's quite choppy. Hoping that inibuilds optimize it without too much delay.
