A late summer flight in New York

Featured Replies

Found some excellent new freeware scenery so I did a flight from KBID to KSYR (Verticalsim) in the Aerobask DA50RG.  The new diamond single is a joy to fly and I was able to sit in one at Oshkosh...  it's just a unique plane that is very modern.  I'd love to own one someday!

Fairly decent sky rendition from XP12... some minor issues here and there still

Verticalsim did a really nice job on this scenery for xp12 (available for msfs as well!)

XP12 looking pretty good here. Ryan, I like the way your posts are not just a series of pictures, but convey a complete situation (changing weather, flying challenges, scenery observations, etc.) regarding a flight from beginning to end...and even what you're planning to do after you land. 🙂 Makes it feel like a real flight that actually happened!

Aerobask's DA50RG is my absolute favourite aircraft to fly in either sim and you've chosen my go-to livery to boot. An excellent series of images Ryan. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Beautiful screens as always Ryan, I guess you switch simulators often.

Darryl

No matter which simulator, your pictures are always gorgeous! And I also always enjoy your way of presenting them. Very entertaining and informative

Yes indeed.  Let's get one in MSFS!

Probably MSFS 80% of the time...  XP12 20%.  If I can fly with ortho and those nice skies it makes using 12 worth it.  I mostly fly in my local midwest area and NE of USA.

Marvelous set of pictures, Ryan. Complete and full of details...I recall the Aerobask planes were always your favorites in XP....

Yes, it's late summer already...it has been a glorious Summer around here in Chicago, Ryan...Yesterday's weather was somewhat like what you show...cloudy and cool...with some rain...

[Liked your Copilot, btw....🙂 ...and clearly you, as the PIC, must have handled the turbulent weather rather well ...]

Hi Ian.  The ortho is free from Verticalsim - usually called Vstates.  The atmosphere is all default though.  Block island airport is freeware https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/87829-kbid-block-island-state/

KSYR is payware by Verticalsim
