Fenix dashboard lights washed out when starting up

Featured Replies

Not sure if this happens with other planes, but I find it extremely annoying that the screens are at default set to maximum brightness upon start up. Is there a way to get the brightness knobs to be at 50% instead of turned all the way up? I constantly have to turn the knobs down to 50% to get them to display correctly without being washed out.

This was implemented at the request of the majority of users, even though the developer disagreed, as part of update Version 1.0.6.146, released on 2022-11-07

○    Screen brightness set to MAX for cold and dark (sorry)

Sigh, seriously? Why though. Most of the time it's way too bright and overexposed.

Because people complained the displays did not work even though all they had to do was turn them up. I believe some even said airlines never turn them down when they do.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it ( so the saying goes)

Then perhaps set the knobs to defaut at 50% instead of 100% would be better.

Then people will still complain. They can't win.

They could probably win if they could give the option for everything to save in position for the next flight - not sure if there is a reason why that isn't one of the options....

They already said that would take a rewrite of a large part of code which could literally break the aircraft. Its on the list just not a priority

Just adjust  the brightness with the knob like a real pilot would have to do...
