Unable to access Content Mgr after update to SU13

Featured Replies

Hello Gang!

After the update to SU13 I am no longer able to access the Content Manager - the sim just sits there with the circle going round and round.  Any ideas?

Is this a case of the ms servers being caned or bugs introduced by the update?  I've rebooted several times and found that I now have to close msfs in the task manager as it won't shut down on its own.  I:ve given up for tonight and will have another go tomorrow when the servers are less busy.  I'm wondering if the shutdown issue is due to pending or partially completed content downloads.

I have downloaded all of the updates except the UK and Eastern Europe which gave me an error and then kept going backwards and forwards on the loading bar.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Definitely the worst update download speed so far, sometimes  less than 1 mb/s, 5 hours later and still going, lots of failed packages in content manager - no flying for me today.

Had problems like this in the past. I forget which update where the problem started manifesting itself and which update it went away at, but my workaround was to disable everything in the community folder, run the updates, and then re-enable the community folder. It was clunky, but it worked. Just a thougt... Your mileage WILL vary!

It's them, not us and we all will just need to wait for them to sort themselves out.
Tinkering will only cause more problems when they do get their acts together.
Once the update is complete, we will see which of the many resolved issues has
been reintroduced, as we always do.

Has nothing to do with them getting their act together it has only been server overload is all as it should well have been anticipated with this many users needing to download 13Gb of data.  Yesterday SU13 installed at a slow but steady pace but the 9Gb of content updates crawled and stalled yesterday with a transfer rate of 0-3mb/sec so I just hit the End button and resumed this morning and it's moving quite fast at up to 110mb/s now.  When updates of this size occur there is little point in building the hardware to accommodate this kind of demand which only happens a few times annually.
