What they (Kok) are saying in the thread is that runway length is supposed to be editable, not that it's locked by design... It's a bug that's being looked at.

No there's another thread below that where Makris (spelling?) confirms that he asked the techs and they say it's not supposed to be editable, therefore working (or better: not working) as designed.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

He said here it should be editable: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/pmdg-tablet/269675-runway-shortening-intersections?p=270061#post270061

Oddly, both could be true if the Devs got incorrect information.

So I don't mind how the EFB and FMC are separate and how it automatically imports from simbrief but here is where the lack of integrations really hurts.  Just did KEWR-KMIA.  Perfect flight, no complaints however enroute my arrival winds changed.  Simbrief had the 08 arrival, wxr dictated 26.  Not a big deal, happens all the time so I make the appropriate changes in the FMC and the map view in the EFB never updated to reflect the new arrival.  I think I would have to go to simbrief, change the arrival and then update the data in the EFB for it to actually change.  It's not the end of the world but one area the lack of integration is visibly lacking.

Other than that, worked great and I like it.

Have a Wonderful Day

No I wasn't talking about Mathjis, but about Makris: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/pmdg-tablet/269381-unable-to-edit-runway-length
