Thoughts on Aerosoft CRJ series?

What an absolutely laughable thing to say. I spent a year flying the CRJ. Most of the “issues” I had with it were corrected when I learned how to fly the plane properly. It isn’t a 737. You can’t just push buttons and watch it do what you want it to do. It takes knowledge of the plane and its systems and proficiency. I just flew it a week ago for the first time in a year and it flew just fine. To say it’s Captain Sim material is patently absurd.

I have no troubles w/ AS CRJ it's one of 4 planes I'm always going to be flying.  There are some areas that are different from what you might expect coming from Boeing/Airbus in terms navigation and once you've figured those out shouldn't have issues.  My chief complaint with it is taxi lights are way too dim which they tell me is the case for the real plane.   I use it regularly in A Pilot's Life and use GSX with it as well.  I'd buy it again.

The two best comments in this whole thread! I love the CRJ...take it out for a 1.5 hour spin...with no A/T, I like the fact I have to keep on my toes and stay ahead of things to ensure proper speeds are maintained throughout the flight...it's a very challenging experience for me and more importantly I feel a sense of accomplishment getting the CRJ up and down from cold & dark, gate to gate.

HI

Question personaly i like CRJ, without ATHR it is very challenging to pilot it as Noob with nice tutorial FilbertFiles for CRJ
But today i do not spoke of Fenix 320, PMDG737 yes complicated but today I have minus problem to fly Fenix compared to CRJ auto landing AP1 AP2 ATHR Coffee breaks

We have Today ATR72-600, I have and love it  with all tutorials off Fly with Magnar

What Airliner I can found with the same interest as CRJ?🙏

At the point I bought the AS CRJ, it had really bad reviews.  It was just before a quite considerable update (mid 2021 I think), and after the update I purchased it.  The CRJ has never disappointed me. It's done all of the things that I want to do in a relatively straightforward 'normal operation' well.   I'm not personally interested in failures, nor exact depictions of precise hydraulics schematics. I just like a plane that flies convincingly and enjoyably, that has realistic AP functions (I have a particular interest in APs as I used to work in quality control for them IRL), decent sounds and generally good immersion. The AS CRJ definitely hits that spot for me.  Is it as high fidelity as the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737?  Certainly not. But it is definitely a notch or two up from default jets and airliners.  As someone said above, I would be bored rigid only flying the A320 and 737, purely because of their fidelity.  The CRJ is an interesting regional jet and fits well with my flight time preference of around 1 - 1.5 hours.

So unless someone is looking for absolutely highest level fidelity and deep systems depiction, I highly recommend it.
