Microsoft Flight Simulator Remote Pilot Job Opportunity

Well the Pilot hired still needs to have an understanding how to program code right. No? Did they not already hire a "Top Flight"  FM programmer about a year ago from another simulator with (realistic physics) and the ground handling is still a big issue in our sim?

This is not a development/programming role but instead a testing one (given the "Pilot Aviation QA" job title, i.e. quality assurance and nothing around coding/programming listed in the needed qualifications).. so pretty much to test, find bugs, and give feedback from an end-user perspective from IRL pilots is what I'm guessing.

They hired the ex-IL2 aerodynamics/physics specialist developer Andrey (Petrovich) Solomykin a while back, and from what we know he's helped with helicopter governor physics development in MSFS 2020 and presumably most of his time is being spent on MSFS 2024. We'll see what improvements come of this and yes hopefully also in ground handling.

@turbomax 😂😂😂 well, many a true word spoken in jest and all that ! Indeed the ideal candidate.

787 captain.

Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.

@turbomax Thanks for making me spit out my morning coffee. Well done.

Well I applied.  I am sure there are people more qualified than my 220 IRL hours, PPL and 3,000 MSFS hours.  But we shall see!  They asked if I have an IF rating, which I don't. So I guess that's what they will be looking for.

There are accelerated IFR programs (10 days etc.) if you are serious...
