November 1, 20232 yr @sd_flyer ?? 😁 Hope you put something in ..:) I also wouldn't mind if they snagged a pilot from the A2A simulations team.. Based on how the comanche feels in this sim (inertia and that sublte instability while flying) they seem to know what they are doing. November 1, 20232 yr "Looking for pilots with at least a private pilots license" Quite the aviation requirment curriculum vitae! 🙂 SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
November 1, 20232 yr Interesting find Krakin.. given the job title is "Pilot Aviation QA", sounds like a tester role for aircraft/FM/etc and with stated starting date of Dec 2023 def must be for MSFS 2024. Looks like they feel they'll be ready for wider testing by then which makes a release date in 2Q/3Q 2024 possible. November 1, 20232 yr @Stearmandriver should apply. He's the only one who talks any sense a lot of the time Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
November 1, 20232 yr Well the Pilot hired still needs to have an understanding how to program code right. No? Did they not already hire a "Top Flight" FM programmer about a year ago from another simulator with (realistic physics) and the ground handling is still a big issue in our sim? November 1, 20232 yr There’s several very well qualified guys on avsim that would bring great knowledge and experience @dbw1 springs to my mind among other already mentioned. Guys that have spend careers in general aviation are much more in tune to what’s going off than us heavy jet pilots. We are inherently lazy sat behind autopilots, and our time is spent keeping up with changes in SOP and airspace procedures , rather than actually feeling the atmosphere as GA pilots do. Likewise, although full enthusiasm, I don’t think a young PPL would be the best to fill this position, a good level of experience would be better. Reading the description it sounds like you’d spend your time answering technical questions, and no doubt some silly ones amongst them, rather than test flying the aerodynamics. Anyway, I get the feeling that MSFS 2024 will be a cracking simulator. Edited November 1, 20232 yr by jon b 787 captain. I definitely don't think is a full time job. I think is geared towards passionate pilots simmers. I would like nominate Emi since he always complains about things in his YouTube channel, he could have the opportunity to change things within MSFS inner teams.
