There needs to be a little polishing but I'm enjoying SLC and am hesitant about Passengers 2 since it is new and untested by the community. Also, passengers 2 seems to go a lot more heavy into the business side of the airline and I was mainly looking for something to increase my immersion. Maybe down the line I will be interested in a deeper experience but for now SLC is covering the bases and their future development goals look interesting. Is it possible with SLC to limit what it does to primarily crew announcements and comments and is that possible to automate? PACX does a fair job of automation. January 5, 20242 yr It’s so frustrating as Pacx is 90% of the way there. If someone could just replicate that program but add a little more variation and more continent based accents, I’d buy it.

I tried several times contacting the dev w/ suggestions and all he did was explain why it wasn't needed. Oh well,. it really had promise but stalled bigtime. Too bad they gave up on it. A year ago during one of my attempts to get them to consider some changes they said a new version was coming out....yep...umm...nope I'm tempted to buy SLC it looks promising and the price is right. Of course with the occasional bug here and there in consequence. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

January 6, 20242 yr I think it's pretty good! I hope we can find some airline soundpacks that would be super! I basically use SLC to create immersion and keep me company during longer flights

Just search for it. (And no he can't put it on his website due do license issues obviously). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. January 8, 20242 yr Maybe one of you success stories can give me some insight. I had a little success yesterday. I changed to PMDG 738 today and as soon as I hit the Start Flight button up pops a window saying I need to have power off and parking brakes set as part of Cold and Dark, but power is off and brakes are set. Within a few seconds of that little warning window, it disappears, and SLC shuts itself off or crashes. I sent an Event Viewer log to the Dev but he's not responded yet. I did find checkboxes to disable SLC looking at landing lights and power state but it didn't fix this crash that happens shortly after trying to start the flight. I'm thinking now I should delete my first install to which I added the patch and several voice and sound packs, and start over. Strangely, I did have some success yesterday and don't know what happened to cause this crash now but it seems a software reset might be in order. I did the same test w/ FBW 320N but the same thing happens. Do I just remove the SLC folder that it runs out of? Or does it send stuff to other locations? January 8, 20242 yr Got it running after learning where the other file was to delete to do a clean reinstall. I'm impressed so far. This dev put a lot of effort out to make this robust for what it does. I found soundpacks for a few airlines I use and it's quite cool. There is a learning curve but I think it will be worth it. February 11, 20242 yr Do you need a microphone/headset or is this menu control/mouse control/keyboard control or do you interact with the windows or what? No information on the requirements page or anywhere else. Edited February 11, 20242 yr by ikedaman
