pretending that it makes the sim unusable

Of course it´s not unusable! Unless you are the ´hit B and tell others not to be a *** kinda fella´ it´s perfectly usable, lol. I merely expressed a grievance for crying out loud. Like I said before, this issue stops me from using the sim in areas where millibar is used. They´ve got almost the whole bloody world wrong! If you don´t care, be my guest. Cheers!

Sorry, not an option. It's not about the altimeter being set correctly. If I want to simulate a local flight in my home country I want ATC to give me the appropriate number regarding air pressure. That means 1013 instead of 29.92, assuming air pressure is standard.

I think the point is, 3 years in, all the great stuff this sim does, a french developer and they STILL believe the USA is the centre of the aviation world.

I'd be willing to bet my whisky collection that this will never be fixed in this iteration of the sim. It's one of 2 reasons I don't use the sim ATC.

What ATC do you use out of interest?

I think it's more that there was no deep understanding of Aviation or Simming in the dev team when they started and that caused them to do a whole heap of things that could have been avoided and generated a mass of technical debt they haven't been able to get on top of
