December 9, 20232 yr One of my kids is getting me this for Christmas so I’ve got to wait patiently….(sound of drumming fingers…)
January 23, 20251 yr V1.2 and updated for MSFS2024. https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000138054-avro-vulcan-b-mk-2-k-2-mrr-msfs-changelog Best developer out there, in my opinion. January 23, 20251 yr Oh this is tempting. I've just finished listening to "Vulcan 607" the excellent audio book about their role in the Falklands War by Rowland White. Does it have an accurate Vulcan sound set I wonder? I want to hear that demonic howl 🙂 Please post a review if you have bought it. EDIT: I watched their promotional video for the Vulcan on the product page but there is no sound of the actual aircraft in MS2024 unless I'm missing something? For me the Vulcan is all about the look (JF got that right) and the sound (did they get that right?). UPDATE: Read this on the MSFS addons page... "Real-world research—including access to the preserved Vulcan XM655 at Wellesbourne Airfield—ensured every detail, from its cockpit systems to the infamous howl of its Olympus engines, was faithfully reproduced." January 24, 20251 yr The famous howl is there in the MSFS2020 version, and very well done, too. I haven't installed it for MSFS2024 yet, but there is no reason why it should be any different. I absolutely love the JF Vulcan - it's one of the most interesting aircraft in the sim. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
January 27, 20251 yr uumm so if we have both sims installed do we need to install both versions of the Vulcan? I'm guessing Yes as the 2024 downloaded file size is bigger than 2020, so presuming this is the way it's going to be for a lot of Aircraft going forward....#messy! Also for the love of god Just Flight give us an Install Location option PLEASE, it's 2025 not 1995! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Yes, using MS Store for 2024 I can't physically move the folder out of the default community folder due to some permissions nonsense with Windows & Xbox Apps. Meaning it's always in a location I don't want it to be, as cheap as it was getting the Store version it's one I wish I hadn't done!
