I've learnt my lesson from previous releases: I'll wait until sometime late tomorrow or even Thursday before trying to install the update. By then, server traffic and download speeds should be back to normal.

Is this just a world update, or do we get a software update at the same time?

Hi,

It is supposed to be just a World Update.

Regards.

1600 Z  is the usual time.  It's a world update so I doubt anything else will be updated.  Don't forget to check the marketplace afterwards like I sometimes have in the past.

Up to you whether you clear your community folder.  I sometimes do and sometimes forget  to.  You should delete rolling and manualcaches though and I normally use the waiting time to give my browser, temp and Nvidia caches a clear out as well.

There will probably be a small sim update as well to update the AIRAC cycle and some of the generic airports.

Some time ago Jorg said they were going to stop sneaking sim updates into the world updates and they have kept to that rule since.

Well specifically it would be Sim Update level of coding changes. They still do occasional push minor updates with World Updates.
