I think he likes to believe that his viewers think he's a real pilot 😄  But, no.    Good level of sim knowledge (compared to most FS Youtubers) but not a real world pilot.

Like others have said, Gavin appears to have a good level of sim knowledge.

Appreciate his videos such as getting the 'Wizard Displays' for the Fenix A320 up and running months ago.

Take a look at the other Fenix thread. Him and others are talking about two different things. He's talking about the time from starter engagement to disengagement, everyone else is talking about the time from starter engagement to full stabilization.

Sad to realize that I'm a pretend painter as well.  That is why I adopted the nickname "Pixel Pusher" decades ago because I realized in 20 years of painting virtual aircraft, I've never picked up a paint gun, sprayed the aluminum of an actual aircraft, or sniffed the toxic fumes of aircraft paint.

Pushing pixels however, I've probably push enough in my time that if I had a dollar for every pixel I pushed...I could easily pay off the current national debt of the United States (esp since I'm pushing them at 8K now, and one swipe of the smudge brush on an 8k map pushes 68,108, 864 pixels. 🙂

Unfortunately I have regularly sniffed Toxic aircraft paint, albeit the type of aircraft paint that goes onto the engine turbines.
