Do anyone know how to deactivate the Dune start up expansion screen? it's very irritating that I have to resize my screen every time I start MSFS. It looks like it ignores my windowed mode setting no matter what I resize to. Any assistance is much appreciated.

It's a bug that's been fixed in the beta, not public for all yet until SU15 is released.

Let’s see how this thread goes…

Surely nothing could be added to what had already been said in in the earlier thread.  Could it????

There are two "issues".

One is that the simulator loads into full screen window, regardless of the user preference.
This is what has been identified, apparently fixed already for the beta users and to be released with SU15, itself delayed.

The second is that there are scenes from the recently released film, Dune: Part 2, that must be seen before the simulator starts.
There seems to be no indication as to when, or indeed if, these will be replaced.

The other topic reached four pages before the bickering on a variety of subjects finally caused it to be locked.

I'm surprised no load screen replacement mod (DUN) has come out as they are horrible.

I guess you can't do this via a mod in the community folder.
Image files have to be changed in the core MSFS folder. And no one wants to offer such a mod.

My guess is they're going to be replaced when the City Update 6 - Southwest Germany is released tomorrow.

The splash screens don't bother me, they're on screen for a little while then you never see them again. Maybe if people put more effort into telling Asobo what's really wrong with the Sim we'd see the obvious bugs get fixed quicker.
